Poor customer service, with a call centre that doesn't really appear to care. Provided on multiple occasions with small, unheard of subcontractors that are little more than hole-in-the-wall garages which I feel unsafe leaving my car with. I regret buying this policy and will not review my general AA cover or buy any AA product from here on in.
Purchased an AAWarranty along with the car from an AA Approved garage.Problems arose as soon as I tried to make a standard claim, their small print does not reflect what they sell it as, Gold implies a high level of cover whereas in real terms it’s a very basic policy and does not cover most items even when explicitly listed.You are not dealing with the AA, it’s a small unhearded of subcontractor.I will never buy one again, and will never use any other of the AA companies.
I recently purchased a Range Rover Sport 2013 from an AA Approved garage and at the time of purchase, I took out a Gold AA extended Warranty. The vehicle seemed absolutely fine when I test drove it, but 200 miles down the road the problems started:1) The Harmen Kardon sound system that comes as an expensive factory fitted optional extra stopped working properly (and by properly I mean it sounded so bad that I did the 5 hour drive home in silence). 2) The vehicle was supposed to come with a spare full size wheel and it turns out that it didn't. My fault for not checking fully but it says a lot about what an AA Approved garage. The tools needed to change a wheel on the side of the road were also missing. 3) The hydraulic arm that opens the boot electronically (and you can't do it manually without forcing it) broke, making the boot space redundant and inaccessible. 4) When night fell and the automatic headlights came on, one of the high beam bulbs was faulty and left me with a dangerous situation on the road. Having gone back and forth with the garage, I decided that the only way to sort even a part of these issues was to make a claim using my GOLD AA Warranty. At the time of sale I was told that the gold warranty covers my media package and sound system... but when it comes down to making the claim, I was told that they would not cover ANY of the above and that it was between the garage and myself to sort the issue... the AA Approved Garage that is!Their reason was simple and is all over their TrustPilot page... its poor customer service provided by a company that hides behind the small print. As with many of the other customers on this page, it is clear that the AA will do all that they can to wriggle out of helping heir customers. Their promises of the service they claim to provide on their website is just corporate jargon that does not reflect the truth of how they really are. For a company that has the history of the AA, its very disappointing to see how poor their customer service has become.
Hello I had verry bad experience with my warranty, my van breakdown left him in the garage on Monday then wait till Friday when warranty authorize the payment to the garage and warranty just cover half price,and garage still waiting for parts should come tomorrow it’s nearly 2 weeks to change thermo plunger and gas pressure sensor for last one I must pay from my pocket 260 pounds,and I still not sure or van gonna be fixed
I was told to take a range rover 63 plates to Halfords for diagnosis I knew it would never workCentral lock not working mirrors not folding back windows not working as well.Halfords were overwhelm told me I need to go to the dealer AA kept told me to find an authorised dealer because of cost which i found After that the warranty was dealt with with minimum ease.
