Review Time
My auto loan is set to be paid in full this month on February 20, 2023. My balance is less than my payment. Not only will the regular total amount be withdrawn and applied to the less-than balance, but I also could not remove future payments without going into a bank branch and canceling the payments. Upon going into the branch, I was met with a less-than-competent bank employee. This employee had no idea how to fill out the cancelation document and when to make the document effective. She asked ME! This was not a reassuring experience and I will be closing all Golden One accounts as soon as my car title is received.
I beg all current and future members to read this and steer clear of this abhorrent credit Union !I am writing once again to request your urgent assistance in resolving my concerns, after an ongoing issue with the Credit Union has left me rather perplexed and distressed given the experience which I have had in my short time as a new member of Golden 1 Credit Union. Please note that at this time I am also urgently requesting your Press contacts (which was denied me by your colleague Ms. Landberg), as I am contacting NBC4 Los Angeles I-Team to aid in this horribly egregious matter’s resolution (and providing them all logged conversations with your staff and the ill-advisements provided me during this ongoing and egregious matter).Please note that after my initial email to you — requesting assistance and escalation to Credit Union management after multiple notably confusing interactions with customer care staff — that my family members whom reside in New York were contacted without my knowledge to inquire about me and my information. While I can certainly appreciate doing one’s diligence for a new Accountholder, I do believe that this was indeed unnecessary, at which time I amiably worked directly with Ms. Karen Cavallero in Financial Investigations to confirm both the validity of my identity as the accountholder and the check deposit from my father (the check writer).This Credit Union has abused me and my ability to do banking, and survive, and I am requesting urgent escalation and the Credit Union’s Press contacts. I have been grossly ill-advised by countless members of your staff of my fund availability and this is grossly unacceptable at every level.Please be advised that my distress at this time stems from the arduous process which I have been placed through these past two days, & with the information provided to me this afternoon by your staff today on a call today (Inbound recorded - 2/1/23) that “once Retail Experience signs off on the check today, all funds would be available — I was further advised at 10:12am by Latrice today that “she had heard good things” regarding the release of my funds. This is utterly appalling mistreatment of a Member, and I most demand urgent resolve. They lied and this never occurred, and they refuse to honor this promise !Please further be advised that as of 2:43pm today — Thursday, February 2, 2023 — I have been advised from the bank this check was drawn on (Citizen’s Bank) and the check writer my father — that these funds have cleared the external bank. As such, this matter merits urgent and immediate resolve at this level. Be further advised that on several calls today (recorded and logged) with your staff, I was advised that if I email a screenshot of the funds which have already cleared my father’s bank account as verified by Citizen’s Bank, these funds would be released immediately. The Credit Union must be held accountable for the constant misrepresentations of facts and gross negligence exhibited in these calls, and I must demand urgent action and release of these funds. You may further refer to the grievance filed with the California Department of Financial Protection & Innovation, as a result of the gross misinformation provided me and the arbitrary hold of my funds (even with proof of clearance of the external bank account), meriting immediate release of these funds and final resolution.This matter remains extremely time-emergent and I request urgent contact to resolve this matter favorably and immediately.
I have had nothing be great experiences with the branch's and customer service calls I had with them. The drawbacks I have with them is the mobile banking system being very outdated. the website is great but when you get to mobile banking it is very clunky.
Golden One will deny you a loan no matter how long you have been with them or how good your credit is. They are not loyal to their customers. We never once caused them to lose money, we did have a few credit issues a long time ago because of an illness but credit is great now. Being a customer for over 30 years has no bearing. Just unbelievable, do yourself a favor and pick a Credit Union that actually cares about its own customers. Had no problem getting a loan elsewhere.
Golden 1 credit union duped the minority small businesses again. I felt funny not given a option from plaid. So they used plaid which has our passwords and log in information stored also they use google analytics, ios tracking etc. Then have the nerve to site banking regulation which they do not follow themselves and big scary words like patriot act. All this just to freeze your account in hopes of some of there illegal needs are met. Look at the contract on your final loans docs. If they needed more info and work with the sba. Why not just go to the sba or the lender. Nope they want us to do it cause they know we were left in the dark. Of course this is planed. Im either a smart fool or a dumb genius. Just watch how this unfolds. All you have to do is follow the money. I had a ein bank statments, websites, etc etc. So instead if my buisness isn't verifiable I was like they are so crooked. Their final letter said all this was cause I got the loan in my personal account. Discrimination, theft, misleading information fake complaint numbers, harassment. Just as crooked as any other big financial institution They can't do this and not get exposed Even on the final contract It says clear as day. This is a legally binding contract and anybody that manipulates or trys to change it or cause someone to default will be liable. Shot golden 1 acted like they never heard of prestamos. I know on the contract it said them and the sba verified the golden 1 account and gave them all document needed and should come from the lender or the SBA not the borrower. golden 1 put a regulation D on my account for months. Then took a cash withdrawal not ach transfer or wire but strait cash and ain't heard from them since. What's in the dark will come to light. But this is what they do cause we let them. I can't wait until all these FOIA reports come back.
Always helpful always innovative. All of my accounts are through them for good reason. The tellers on Average are Amazing and know their stuff. I don't have any reason to move on after 19 years of their good works. Best Bank for me and my families needs.
I have a checking account and a loan with Golden1. The loan is set up for auto payment from my checking account. The first payment was scheduled for August but they took the money for the loan in July and when they did that it caused an over draft fee. Anything a bank can do to rip you off they will do it just like your government.
