It's so easy to get car insurance on this site. Although (in my opinion) it's very overpriced/expensive (so far 4 months has cost over a twelve hundred pounds!!) it's so quick and fool proof. From 1 day to 4 weeks, at any time - you can be covered as fast as it takes you fill the form in!
I bought a few hours insurance cover to drop a car for my daughter. It was so easy to purchase this cover from GoShorty and was reasonably priced. Besides it kept me within the law and in case anything happened. Definitely recommend.
Be cautious when providing your driving licence number and disclosing any previous convictions. After an accident, I was denied a payout due to a clause stating they won't insure individuals with past drink driving offenses, despite informing them of my history when I purchased the insurance. I'm not satisfied with the service, especially as a self-employed person facing financial difficulties now. The form requires my driving licence number, so if there are no checks being conducted, why am I providing this information?
Overall, it's a solid app, but it overwhelms you with notifications as soon as you start checking prices. You can get multiple alerts at once through various channels, which can be frustrating. While it's great for pricing and speed, the excess notifications make me reluctant to use it for temporary insurance. One notification would suffice, but receiving so many is quite annoying. Everything else works well.
