Ordered a table and benches. Benches were missing parts. 6 weeks later and still haven’t received correct parts. Won’t respond to my email about a refund either. Wish I had read these reviews prior to ordering. Their story and marketing all seems good but it’s not. Our bank is going to refund the money! Ha we win, Wood Grain, not you fraudulent people. People here talk about the owner being a bad person and the customer service being horrible. You can’t call them and we haven’t heard from customer service via email. I’ve never had such a bad experience with a company. Usually the customer is right and problems are remedied. This is why everyone buys from Amazon. Got some beautiful chairs from Amazon and will continue to buy furniture there instead. So long, Wood Grain. You’ll be bankrupt in no time because people find out.

4 stars given compared to other build furniture from China. No comparison to the other. It is still a long assembly: with over and under drilled holes, a few pieces too short to fit tight, finish somewhat questionable, etc..I would still buy again if needed, definitely not store quality. But worth money.
Don’t order from them, you will regret it! Horrible! Furniture had toxic fumes, made my throat dry and irritated. As soon as I took furniture out of my house, my throat started getting better. They claim they are within standards for VOCs but I doubt it. I’ve seen other reviews complaining about the smell too. At first I thought I could minimize VOCs by wiping down the furniture with a damp towel (did not help!), but when I wiped the stain literally came off!!! How cheap can this be. It comes from Brazil and I betting they cut corners and use cheap toxic stuff. Last thing is that these are not solid wood, it’s pieces of wood glued together.There are other issues like drawers don’t pull out all the way, drawers close hard etc but those are nothing compared to the poisonous fumes and off-gassing! They refused to allow return and refund.
I ordered the shaker table 44" in espresso (a color, not a drink). The whole ordering process was easy and the ecommerce workflow will send you an email with every status update. Even information about how the furniture gets manufactured. When I placed my order, a false fraud alarm came up, but Grain Wood Furniture solved this in no time. I like my table very much and the quality is superb.
We recently purchased a bed from Grainwoodfurniture and I realized only after opening it I had ordered the wrong size bed. Luckily I had all the packaging still in tact and was able to pack the bed parts back into the boxes. Grainwood organized the pickup of the wrong bed and I went online and ordered the correct bed. It arrived within the week. The bed was easy to set up and looks great. Grainwood refunded our money for the incorrect purchase within two weeks. I was very happy with their service and we really like the furniture.
I ordered a bedroom set including the shaker style 6 drawer dresser. Shame on me for not really looking at the height dimensions of the dresser, but I was totally mislead by the photos on the website that make it look like it's really about hip-level height, like a dresser you could put a mirror on. The photos have pictures low down to the dresser, making it look taller, but who would place a wall picture at about hip-level?! I started putting it together and realized it was very short. I had to return the entire set as I probably wouldn't find something to match the more unique finish colors. So then I lost the 20% stocking fee and I have to resell the dresser myself just because I opened it. Shame on me for not checking but very frustrating that the photos were not representative. Other people seem to like them, but it seems more like for a young child's dresser size. Or a gnome. Instructions for assembly also weren't that clear. Also, customer service is basically by email with no one to call so, while they are responsive, it's a half day to a day for each communication. I would give one star but the product does seem to provide an affordable all-wood product. Just measure out how it will look in your room and don't rely on the photos!
Exceptional products and service! I ordered both a bed and dining room table and benches. I love them all - solid wood, well made and beautiful. I got free shipping and received my items in days. Customer service was great as well. I will be ordering the wardrobe next!
