Attentive...but their best interests might not always be yours.

I would give Greener Energy Group 5 stars for promptness and attentiveness. I did feel however we were slightly pushed towards making a quick decision to install a smaller solar system that wouldn't require any fees or submission to the local electricity network operator. We held off and got quotes from other companies who suggested we had a good situation for a bigger system and that as a a lot of the costs related to the fitting process (scaffolding etc.) rather than the solar panels themselves it often made sense to go for a bigger system. They also did less scare-mongering about how difficult the application process and fee might be. In the event we could afford and went for a slightly bigger system and the application process was for us quick, straightforward and inexpensive.

Amazing Company - If you want the best Go Greener Energy

So we bought our first home and really wanted to make it greener and leaner in terms of bills , I ended up on Greener Energy website by accident but what a happy accident it turned out to be .I completed a form and received an initial call from GE they were polite ,knowledgeable and helpful. They organised a appointment for Daniel to come visit us at our new home, as someone with social anxiety I did dread this , I cannot speak highly enough about Daniel he was an incredible initial impression of the company, he was very knowledgeable , honest and very detailed in how it would all work and the potential for our 200 year old property , he made us feel very comfortable in our choices and was the type of person who took the time and the effort to walk us through all our questions and queries and sent us very detailed email's and spent time with us to break it all down , this is quite a decision and you want it done right with the minimal amount of issues and Daniel was right there every step and continue to be even after the install . So after we had signed the agreement and received amazing guided help by the incredible Scott [who again no question went unanswered , always had time for us and every call or message was answered quickly and efficiently, this is hugely important to me and shows the mark of a good company ]. Next up was the surveyor visit and over to Tony to visit the house , again he was so professional , friendly, knowledgeable and very accommodating with all our question and my wee Border Terrier puppy trying to attack his jeans / boots , survey complete Tony again always available to help us and get our questions answered helped guide us around the loft insulation [ especially after some rude company was trying to punt Foam ] . Also to everyone who helped us with our Loan via the Credit Union who were also very easy to deal with and made everything feel so simple . Now we get an install date and over Lee The roofer David the electrician and his apprentice Chris , with this being a 200 year old house we are about to have a challenge for GE but honestly they took everything in their stride , first up we have a very tricky driveway and poor Lee the roofer lost a tyre while navigating it but he was professional and still got on with the job like it never happened and the design for the panels he put together still has us and everyone who see it blown away it integrates so well on to the roof you would hardly know its there , next David the electrician is now ready to rig things up but guess what he discovers the house doesn't have an earth to the fuse board , David stayed with me to help me while I contacted SP Networks to sort this out {above and beyond again} , so eventually SP Network sort this then GE rearrange for David and his apprentice Chris to come back out to site to connect the solar next challenge is the wall thickness of our house its like a fortress it was freezing cold and dark but David and Chris got it all sorted despite the very challenging small fuse box area and the walls they were the ultimate electrical duo and their conversations were very funny . They kept us informed all the way through the install , checking their progress with us , confirming where we wanted things to be located and also brought a lot of friendly , professional banter to the job , again as someone who suffers massively with social anxiety they made the whole experience TOP NOTCH . I also want to give a special shout out to all the office staff who supported us on the journey and for whom nothing is to much trouble and are very responsive and get stuff done . From start to finish I cannot fault this company we now have 12 solar panels , three storage batteries and a car charger generating us electricity in the middle of a Scottish winter . Again David kept a wee eye on our system remotely and help us trouble shoot my hubby going rouge with the app hahahhaah its good to have someone watch over you as a rookie solar owner. I have been so impressed by everything they delivered a true credit to the greener energy movement and would highly highly recommend if you are thinking of getting your solar game strong choose Greener Energy the have been doing this a while and really look after you and your property even when your property fights back .THANK YOU GREENER ENERGY THANK YOU

5 star team performance

Well, where do I start, Stephen that came to the house, gave me all facts and information and answered all questions, even the ones that popped up 2 or 3 days later. No pressure whatsoever. Debbie in the funding department that took me through the process baby step at a time. Stephen the electrical installer, huge amount of work, clean and tidy work, answered many questions during installation then went through how it all works, got me 2 apps on the phone. The whole team at Greener energy group made the whole process easy and pain free.

Solar Panel & Battery Installation

I wanted to start my journey towards renewables. The one thing you want is for things to be made easy for you as the customer, and the team at Greener Energy Group do that. From the short questionnaire on the webpage, to the follow up phone call, survey, advice, installation, follow up, the team have done a grand job. Within such a short space of time and given our weather conditions, everything was completed very quickly. The survey, conducted by George was what I needed. He took the time to explain the options, the technology of the panels/battery I would eventually opt for, what size/type of system would suit my home and the cost (no pressure tactics, just good information for me to make the decision on my own). After the survey, I had various interactions with the office team/management on what was happening, anything I needed to do on my side and assistance with Finance options available. My thanks to Chloe, Emilie, Tony, Melissa in this regard (apologies if I missed anyone). All estimated savings were validated through an independent body (EVPS).When it came to installation day, the scaffolding had gone up the day before the team would arrive. The roofing team (Sandy and Charlie) had an instant challenge due to the drop in temps, but soldiered thorough it and overcame any challenges faced, keeping me aware of what was going on. The electrician team (Jack and Cammy) did an excellent job of taking care of that side of things. They always checked before doing anything that would modify an area of the house for cabling etc. and were very tidy throughout also. The electrician manager (Gary) was also on hand that day to lend a hand and took me through the app and explained it all once the system was up and running.I then had a follow up call the next day by the office explaining next steps etc. when it comes to the finance agreement kicking off as well as comfort to know all my paperwork would be sent out soon that meant I could engage with my energy supplier on finding the right tariff.Thanks, Greener Energy Group, for providing my solution here. I recommend them for whatever renewable needs you are considering.

Dishonest tactics

Salesman promised the world with heating - pay £500 deposit and back out at any time and get the deposit back. Surveyor came out to price up job along with another person carrying out an EPC report. Quote came back more expensive than I would have liked so decided not to go ahead with it. Deposit not refunded as they charge £250 each for survey and EPC report. Make sure to read the small print as they are not upfront about this on the phone or in person.
