Review Time
I had a full hip replacement with Simon Hislop. I had actually been booked in to see a colleague of his but he then referred me to Simon, who wasn't expecting me that day but still squeezed me in as I had flown over from Jersey. Very professional in all aspects of his job. very approachable if I had any questions and took into consideration the sports I want to be able to continue doing now that I have reached the grand old age of 50. 6 weeks post op I am making great progress. As I said to him today, I could not fault his or the hospitals service. If this was a hotel I would be booking my next visit already. As it is surgery, I will probably wait till my other hip needs doing. 5 out of 5. Thank you Simon and team. Cheers and Happy Xmas from Hapi Harris.
I am a 79 year old man and I was immediately reassured about my concerns of having a major operation when I met Mr Hislop, my surgeon. He was courteous, respectful and kind and explained in layman's terms the pros and cons of a hip replacement. I was most impressed by his bedside manner before and after the operation. He visited me the morning after which was a Sunday, to see how I was. As well as his undoubted skill as a leading surgeon in this field, all these things mean so much to somebody like me and of my age needing the reassurance he gave to me and my partner. We both really liked his manner.
Mr Tim Sinnett is an amazing surgeon - I can not recommend him enough. He has helped me with my Achilles rupture repair and recovery. We took all the right steps towards recovery, and I wish to thank him for making this recovery as easy for me as possible. It could've been a very difficult injury to recover from but he left no scars around the Achilles area post surgery.
Mr. Hislop was very professional throughout. He was extremely thorough whilst explaining my condition and the pros and cons of operating on my hip as well as helping me to remain calm before the operation. The procedure went very well and Mr. Hislop popped into the ward several times to see and reassure me that all had gone well. The follow up appointments were very helpful and Mr. Hislop was always available if I had any concerns. I would thoroughly recommend him.
Shoulder surgeryI was operated on by David Butt. He was thoroughly professional throughout the whole process. The day of the surgery was also as good an experience as you could wish for. The One Hatfield team were extremely professional. Mr Butt himself was knowledgeable and explained everything clearly at every step in the process. I'm now 2 weeks after my operation and had m my scheduled post operative assessment this morning. Everything is progressing well and I'm very satisfied indeed.
My experience with Mr Luke Jones was outstanding. I had a challenge before with another surgeon on my first knee and it was a robotic version. Mr Jones recommended doing this using his own skill. He not only listened to my concerns, ensured I had the best medical care, took shorter time to recover, smaller scar and one year on have no complaints and walking amazingly. His skill personal attention and follow up is superb and would highly recommend him. Tasneem….
