My issue is that I learned through my daughter that my lab results were sent to her fertility clinic aswell as my appropriate doctors for the second time in 2 years
I reported this serious breach of trust the first time last year which resulted in no investigation or report of findings. I was in poor health and was unable to followup.
Just recently, my three physicians received the results (which was confirmed) with my inquiry based on the requisitions. However, my daughter's fertility clinic also received my lab results. It is serious problem that MY results with personal information were mishandled and carelessly shared to a clinic based on my and my daughter's last name? Fortunately, the clinic brought this to my daughter's attention.
I contacted LifeLabs again. Two times I was told the onis was on me to find out how this clinic received my results. This is not possible because I am not a patient there and they cannot devulge this information. After the first complaint the promised escalation and enquiry never happened and was blown off after the second attempt to get this looked into.
It is infuriating that this happened, but the refusal to look into this by LiveLabs demonstrates a lack of interest in investigating and resolving how patients records are handled.
How often does this situation occur and patients are unaware of the mishandling of private personal medical information?
Mistakes happen, but the refusal on the part of LifeLabs to investigate and address this issue is egregious and irresponsible. A lawsuit is waiting to happen!
The website is incredibly problematic. The mobile version is pointless and not worth your time. If you manage to book an appointment, which is rare, it often won’t accept your password. Then, when you try to reset it, your account gets locked. The IT team really needs to be held accountable for this.

After waiting a while, I needed to step out for the restroom. Unfortunately, the line hadn’t moved at all. If I had a specific form, I could have left it at the desk. Very disappointing service.

The location is dreadful. A woman attempted five times to cut in front of me, despite my polite requests for her to stop. When I finally raised my voice, the staff yelled at me instead of addressing her behavior. What a waste of time. The staff should have intervened with her rather than becoming upset with me, the one trying to be courteous. Their customer service is appalling. I would never trust them with any medical needs.
I went to what I thought would be a scheduled appointment only to find a long line of around 30 people in the hallway and another 18 waiting to be seen. I saw my name and one other on the appointment board, but I couldn't even reach the staff to confirm my presence. I left in frustration and will not return. What is the point of making an appointment if you can’t access the staff due to the walk-in crowd? It feels pointless to schedule.
This location has the worst service. I hesitate to even give them one star. The staff is rude and loud, particularly the main person. I went to drop off my test envelope and, after waiting for a while, stepped forward to ask if anyone was available. Instead of assisting, the front desk staff scolded me for stepping up. They need to improve their efficiency and communication. A simple drop-off tray would alleviate confusion.
The location keeps patients lined up outside until 7:30 in the morning, which is quite uncomfortable. The technician who performed my blood work had only two months of experience, making it difficult for her to find my vein, which resulted in a bruise. I strongly advise against visiting this lab for blood work.
