She arrived independently, expecting the medical team to treat her minor mobility issue. Tragically, after just 9 days in their care, she passed away. BEWARE!!! There are negligent staff members and systemic failures within the Intensive Care Unit.
The appointment line takes an excessively long time to navigate, and following up on appointments consumes hours. The waiting lists for both the sleep clinic and dental restoration service far exceed official targets. I had two dental phone appointments scheduled, yet no one called or offered an apology. Involving the support team led to some progress. After waiting eight months, I was removed from the lists for both clinics simply because I missed a validation letter deadline due to health issues. Overall, communication is poor, appointment wait times are excessively long, and the system seems to prioritize staff convenience over patient care.
I waited two years for a dental appointment regarding a sleep device due to my breathing issues at night. They poked and prodded, causing my gums to bleed, but said they couldn't proceed until my dentist resolved this first. If they hadn't used sharp tools under my gums, there wouldn't have been an issue. It's a complete waste of time, and now I'm discharged, having to wait indefinitely for new referrals. I likely face the same situation again. In the meantime, my health suffers from lack of sleep. The representative seemed unsure and left to 'discuss with a colleague.' I attempted to file complaints, including to higher management, but couldn't reach anyone. It's a disgrace; the entire unit should be reevaluated for better service.

I've been under the Dental Restorative Department for years and am horrified by the poor service at even the 'best' hospitals. I've had to go through the complaints process just to get basic tasks done. Promises are made but rarely kept. Despite receiving guards for TMJ and bruxism, my other dental issues have been ignored. My last visit was disheartening; the staff didn't even examine me properly. I found out a different consultant was in charge, and when I asked about my previous one, the front desk contradicted the information. After two years of waiting for a follow-up appointment, I still have no response from the office. I'm beginning to think being discharged may be a blessing, as it allows me to let go of hope for help. I urge anyone needing long-term support to consider this warning: AVOID THIS DENTAL DEPARTMENT.
The nurse who attended to me was very kind, but the person responsible for refreshments walked by our ward without checking if we needed anything. While I noticed some staff members were rude, I was disappointed by the overall lack of care.
