Incomplete order. Multiple emails. Equipment damaged on arrival. Inconsistent with phone calls. 1 staff member appeared to be reasonably well trained in communication but I still have yet to receive my complete order over a 3 month period. I have given them multiple opportunities to rectify the situation.
Ordered a gym bench which cost over £200 in Nov 2025, it’s now March 2026 have not received the item I ordered, any delivery date or information regarding a delivery date, looks like they won’t honour a refund as they are ignoring emails of my request for a refund.They have no phone lines for calling customer service and the email given you do get response for weeks even tho they state 48hrs. The last email I sent was on the 17th February requesting a refund and I’m still waiting for a response .
I wish I had seen these reviews before I ordered, looks like I’m not alone in my experience with Gym sets Uk. Just want my money back now!
Buyer Beware has never been more apt! Well a month has passed since they responded to my review… no outreach as promised! I still want to return my bench that was unusable as was delivered heavily damaged. They’ve clearly blocked me from their WhatsApp, never respond to emails, phone never gets answered and no messages can be left. £60 down the drain. Next stop Trading Standards and legal advice. Posting this as a last opportunity for this ‘business’ to make amends.
My order number is #30978. I bought Round Adjustable Dumbbells 2.5-45kg as a pair, 2kg increments not including bench. In total I paid £431.49. I bought them in August, I have been waiting for these adjustable dumbbells for 7 months now. On 19/1/2026 I got 3 packages however, the fourth one is missing. I got all the weights and one of the dumbbells with the dumbbell stand. However the second dumbbell and dumbbell stand is missing. All that’s missing now is the dumbbell and dumbbell stand. Please, when is the last dumbbell with the stand going to arrive. I can’t wait any longer. That’s all that’s missing from my order. Be correct with me as I’ve provided my details numerous times and finally hope that you will solve this. The tracking hasn’t updated on fedex’s website either so I called them and they told me they can’t locate where the item is and that I should contact GymSets. I’ve had enough, currently I’m calling your number 01606531561 and no one is responding….. THIS IS MY SECOND REVIEW NOW. SEND ME MY MISSING ITEMS, HOW LONG AM I GOING TO KEEP WAITING FOR??
Poor Customer Service. PVA foam tiles arrived in 2 separate orders, not in the timeframe stated. 1 pack was missing. Requested a refund several times, with little to no customer communications in response. Reviews speak 1000 words, do not use this company!
I would avoid Gym Sets. They’re prices may be appealing, but it’s not worth the continual missed delivery dates, the terrible customer service and ignored emails. I ordered over £700 worth of gym equipment at the beginning of January, and all of the major items from my order (Dumbbells, kettlebells and weight plates) have been delayed, I received an email today stating part of the order which should have arrived in January is now delayed until May! I’ve had no response to my emails asking to cancel the order so I’m now going through the credit card charge back process. AVOID!
I bought the oak reformer from gymsets and was a little nervous what the quality would be as the price is significantly less than others on the market. I didn't need to be, I am super impressed with it! The quality is great, it's a very beautiful piece of equipment and the delivery / aftercare etc have been great!
I placed an order on 12th January, paying £1,095.55, with items that were in stock and some items advertised as pre-orders for 16th February and 9th March, and delivery stated as within 3 working days once available.
I received no proactive updates. I had to chase the company weekly, only to receive delayed and generic responses.
After weeks of chasing, I was finally told via email that “not everything has arrived as expected” and that the company does not have visibility of what items have been shipped in each parcel, asking me to confirm what I haven’t received.
This is completely unacceptable for a business handling high-value orders. In my case, nothing whatsoever has been delivered from the order.
The lack of transparency and accountability is alarming:
• No tracking information provided
• No clarity on what has or hasn’t been shipped
• Repeated copy-and-paste emails
• Emails frequently ignored
• Phone calls not answered
Even more concerning, despite having taken full payment in January, I am still waiting for clear information about delivery or a refund.
Customer service has been extremely poor, and the overall handling of this order shows a serious lack of organisation and responsibility. Based on my experience, I would strongly caution anyone considering placing an order with this company—particularly for expensive or time-sensitive purchases.
I regret using this company and would not recommend them.
Paying over £1,000 upfront and receiving nothing, with no clear answers or accountability, is unacceptable—customers should be extremely cautious before ordering.
I wish I researched this company before placing the order back in November 25!
Order placed 17th November 25 for full set of weights 2.5kg to 25kg plus bench and stand. 23rd of February and still waiting for the 20kg set to arrive!! Email received last week to confirm the missing weights were being dispatched in the next 48 hours (To arrive today 23rd February), no tracking information received so I chased them up for an update to advise that the date has now been pushed back to the 17th April! 5 months to fulfil an order is unacceptable, refund & compensation is due!!
