Walking Hadrian's Wall was a 20-year bucket list experience for me, and ensuring I had the right support was a vital checkbox for this solo adventure.
After scouring the internet and reviewing the plethora of available service providers, I landed on Hadrian's Wall Holidays and I am certainly happy I did.
Throughout the preparation and the walk itself, the staff were helpful and informative, offering tips and guidance for what was to come. The apps provided worked seamlessly and helped my wandering feet get back on track whenever I went off the beaten trail.
The lodgings served my needs perfectly, and the hearty breakfast at each location got me through the day just fine.
I met some pretty amazing people along the way and was able to walk across the edge of the Roman Empire with all of the wonderment I had hoped for.

We booked our 9 day/10 night walking holiday through Hadrian's Wall Holidays.They were really great to deal with and very helpful with any queries. The app provided had all of the info we needed and was really easy to use.We were really impressed with the standard of accommodation at each stop. Our luggage was picked up and transfered each day without any issues and taxis were great.Overall we were really impressed with the company and had a fantastic trip. Would definitely recommend.

Booked 10 day west to east from Australia. Amazing walk and incredible package. Cant fault this company. Everything has run like clockwork. Even the occasional taxi they booked for us to outlying accomodation has been brilliant. They have handled the lot and highly recomend their service. A+++
When we were considering this national trail for our first long distance hike I was slightly worried whether it really would be enjoyable for me. Spoilers: it was very much so! I am already planning the next trip.Our final decision to book was made in May with about only six weeks to the trip. HWH put together a fantastic itinerary for us. Megane was able to adjust the first draft to our slightly different ideas. The app always provided a well sorted overview of the schedule. On location everything went super smooth. I’d highly recommend Hadrian’s Wall Holiday.
Just completed our Hadrian Wall walk with Hadrian Wall Holidays. What a wonderful experience -- things went smoothly from the time we arrived in Carlisle until we picked up our bags in Newcastle (would highly recommend going West to East -- there will be wind and there will be rain and having it in your back is the way to go!). HWH was accommodating when we decided to go off script on day five and do the Acomb-Hexham-Corbridge alternative route by having a taxi pick-up in Corbridge -- thank you Megane. Would highly recommend HWH.
While we had time for only two days walking the company packed in as much as possible and where most interesting. Accomodation spot on. Taxi transfers professional and on time. Information flow great and dealt with our queries promptly. All superb and would definitely use again.
The walk was a great Roman experience. We walked the entire wall over the 8 days and enjoyed every day. The company organised the whole trip to perfection, accommodation all worked well, baggage transfers went without a hitch, and the taxi trips were very useful when required.Communication with the company was good and helpful at all stages.We used the Hadrian’s wall path book by Cicerone which tied in very well with the information given, we found it easier to have a paper map.We walked at the end of March, from west to east, which meant the wind was behind us, this was really beneficial in the middle section.Would highly recommend this company.
We are back from 'the Wall'! The entire group came back with a great feeling of satisfaction. We had a wonderful time hiking along this gigantic Roman work of art.From start to finish everything went smoothly, without hiccups. Everything according to plan and programme. In each and every detail of the entire schedule Hadrian' Wall Holidays did their great best! The hotels were super, the restaurants were hits. Their advice, detailed descriptions, flexibility in working out a programme 'made to measure', perfectly customized has been invaluable. None could do better!!! We had a wonderful time walking across England and exploring the Wall with the help of Hadrians Wall Holidays! They were very timely and friendly in their communications, the accommodations were very good, and the baggage transfer and taxis all went smoothly. The maps provided were helpful, but getting to some of our accommodations, when they were off the wall, required a bit of route-finding. Which was fun! We used a navigational app (MAPS.ME) and that worked well.All in all, a great trip, and we will certainly recommend Hadrians Wall Holidays to our friends!
