They refused to provide a car, unless I buy insurance coverage (which cost 4 times the car rental fee!!!!), regardless that I already had insurance, which I purchased via car rental platform. They did not agree to confirm the same in writing when I got the car and afterwards denied everything when I tried to recover the unlawfully claimed amount. Scammers, never use them!!!
BE VERY CAREFUL - THIS COMPANY IS AN ABSOLUTE SCAM!!!First of all, they gave us a completely different car than the one we paid for. The car was in terrible condition, I counted around 60 small scratches and dents, all of which I recorded on video.They quietly tried to slip in paperwork with hidden fees for services I absolutely did not need. Even though I had my own insurance, they forced me to buy their insurance without giving any reasonable explanation for why I had to do so.When I started asking questions, there were two employees in the office, and they began smiling at each other and speaking in a foreign language I couldn’t understand. Their behavior was completely unprofessional.When I returned the car, I recorded the entire condition of the vehicle on video. After I got home, I saw two unauthorized charges on my card: one for $188 and another for $364. I tried to find a way to contact them, but their website doesn’t even list a phone number. Later, I learned that their main office is located outside of the United States most likely in Greece.After I filed a transaction dispute with my bank, the bank informed me that the company claimed I had damaged the car. This is completely false the employee who checked the car in confirmed it was in perfect condition, and I have video evidence of that. I also found out they charged me for toll fees even though I paid for the toll road myself in cash.In the end, this car rental cost me nearly $900. Only later did I discover numerous warnings online from other customers saying that this company is a complete scam. They should be shut down for stealing people’s money.
Discusting car rental company. Low fees online and even if you sort tolls etc by yourself they still force you to pay additional charges for tolls and also unrealistic insurance. We had our insurance sorted, I even checked all T&C's and I was ready, however, no luck and they force you to get all with no refund option. It is a scam company and we were forced to go back to the airport.
Discovery Cars – Scam! Avoid this company!My experience with renting a car through Discovery Cars in the USA was a disaster. The rental company’s employee demanded an electronic signature at the counter while taking my payment card. Without my knowledge or consent, an inflated fee was charged, and only after the transaction was completed was I given the contract. Yes, they have my signature on the contract, but the charge was made illegally and has the characteristics of fraud.Even though I purchased full insurance through Discovery Cars in Poland, I was forced to pay for additional insurance on-site. The rental employees avoided answering my questions, and one of them deliberately left the building to prevent me from resolving the issue. Due to this clear fraud, I called the police, but during my call, the employee who served me simply drove away and never returned.I have filed an official complaint and reported the case to my bank, using the chargeback procedure to recover my money. Owszem, mają mój podpis pod umową, ale opłata została pobrana nielegalnie i ma znamiona przestępstwa.Mimo że wykupiłem pełne ubezpieczenie przez Discovery Cars w Polsce, na miejscu wymuszono na mnie kolejną opłatę za dodatkowe ubezpieczenie. Pracownicy wypożyczalni unikali odpowiedzi na moje pytania, a jeden z nich celowo opuścił budynek, by uniemożliwić mi wyjaśnienie sprawy. Z powodu oczywistego oszustwa zadzwoniłem na policję, jednak w tym czasie pracownik, który mnie obsługiwał, po prostu odjechał samochodem i nie wrócił. IZłożyłem oficjalną reklamację i zgłosiłem sprawę do banku, korzystając z procedury chargeback, która pozwala na odzyskanie pieniędzy w przypadku oszustwa. They will get you at the airport and go to a very small office in a suspicious neighborhood. Cheap operation.There, they will said the only insurance valid is their own… which cost a fortune and also fees for the toll tag. This will make the final cost almost triple. They will pressure and start talk loud and rude to you to close the deal, they will said is much more cheap than the airport. It’s all lies, run from there. Go to the airport and you will get a better deal. LOOK OTHER REVIEWS… they all tell the same story Imagine they with your credit card information for after the rent, for some extra fees they will create. Imagine if you are involved in some accident, they will charge you some more money. Dont go for that, choose the big rent companies. They are safer and got your back if needed.
Dubious, the vouchers are not recognized on site and you have to conclude a local contract which is 3 times as expensive as the contract previously concluded through CHECK24 and Dicovery Cars.Unfriendly staff. Afterwards you get additional fees you never accept before.Old, unclean rental car, poor technical condition, - more expensive than rental cars at the airport from well-known international providers
DO NOT RENT HERE!!! SCAM SCAM SCAM!!!!!! They will advertise a reasonable rental fee and they attempt to force you into taking their upgrade for the SunPass and ESPECIALLY THE INSURANCE. Even though they say you can use your own insurance they make the requirement $500,000 for liability because they knew standard policies are only at $30,000. DO NOT waste your time and money. They will hide behind the booking sites so they can attempt to not give you a refund.
Very good service. I totally recommend them for the easy transportation to and from the airport. Friendly service and they recommended the best vehicle for our travel plans. They have a wide variety of vehicles and different affordable rates, these are always operational and well maintained. We travel to Miami every month and always rent their vehicles.
