I placed an online order for six packages of ramen from H Mart. Shipping was 15 dollars for the six packages. They sent me an email the day they shipped off the order. As it turns out, Four of the items were out of stock so they sent me two and still charged me the 15.00 shipping. So, the cost of the two items I did get cost twice as much. I emailed them a couple times and got NO response. They are a rip off. Do not use H Mart. They do not care !
Customer Service for their website is Non Existent.I've been trying to make a purchase for over 2 weeks now. Customer service on social media and email inquiries never get back on payment options.The website auto chat says they accept paypal but they do not give you the paypal option when checking out. I just want to know if they got rid of paypal. There are no clear answers. But i feel its a bait and switch if they dont clarify it soon.
I’ve only given them two stars because they are dealing with my problem, or I would have left it blank, no stars. Moreover my wife and I were shopping at H Mart Calgary Beacon Hill. 11810 Sarcee Trail NW, Calgary, AB T3R 0A1, CanadaMy wife and I were at the fridge aisle where the tofu were. When she picked up a box of tofu and the foil on the package wasn’t sealed properly, so the tofu water spilled all over my wife’s designer winter jacket that we just got dry cleaned which cost a lot of money because it’s real fur and leather. Which involves leather dry cleaner specialists. At the beginning of the unfortunate event, we weren’t as upset as we were about to be….. I rushed to look for an Employee to help us to get some paper towels. This lady employee looked super annoyed by me asking for her assistance, my wife witness this as well. She didn’t ask what has happened, throws me the paper towel and walks off without a word said. NOW! My Wife and I are livid! We found another Employee which was a pleasant to work with, got us to the manager and dealt with our problem. Moreover, this other supervisor or manager that was standing beside him with a glove in his back pant pocket, kept staring at my wife, and I. Not just any stare, A threatening stare, like he was gonna stab us, or our lives were in danger or perhaps my wife and I may have to call 911 to get the police involved, because we felt our lives may be in harms way, because of his unpleasant presences, and his death stare. My wife asked him what are you staring at? Furthermore we believe this supervisor working at H Mart that’s giving us the super death stare, knew no word of English. He said nothing the whole time just stood there and stared us down like we were about to square off like Manny Pacquiao vs Ricky Hatton. Of course I would be in Pacquiao’s position, if fireworks did happen. The Mannger that dealt with our problem told us to get an invoice for fro the dry cleaners and come back with it to customer service and they will deal with it. Before that, we were having an argument. I appreciate this manager dealing with our problem more over before that we were having a little bit of an argument. This manager also lost abit of control and had abit of temper problem and started raising his voice. So I raised mine as well. After he heard our full story then he controlled his emotions and listen to us and dealt with our problem. Yeah, the last moment my wife said the funniest thing to the manager, she said, can we still shop here? The manager said, of course shop buy more so we can pay for your dry cleaning. Because I think this is a problem with H mart employee training, and it seems that the manager can’t solve it, so I tried to find H mart’s consumer complaint hotline, but I couldn’t find it online. So I must post our story here for all to read.NO MATTER WHAT Occupation you are in I believe you must listen to the customers full complaint and understand the situation before assuming and attacking the customer.
There Smart card is a joke. I used several years and accumulated a lot of point. Yesterday I would like to redeem the point. I found no points on the receipt. Then I was told my card is disabled. Very bad service for calling customer service. Waiting long time. They picked up phone and I only said one word. She hang up. Call again, always waiting. To purchase there should be very careful
Sadly, H-Mart is the worst supermarket with a band of dishonest workers. I went to buy a fresh crab for my mom and asked for the one that I liked in the tank. Unfortunately, they refused to give me the one that I wanted and gave me a different one and refused to let me even see the crab and stuffed it in a brown paper bag To make things worse, they had the audacity to tell me that the crabs are all the same, which I foolishly believed. When I returned home with the crab, it was clearly a crab that had died a long time in the tank. I know because I came from a family of fishmongers and eat primarily seafood. I will never ever return to H-Mart because they are not honest people. I would go out of my way to Assi or T&T supermarket instead and spend my money there instead. SHAME on H-Mart.
Well it only gets better from here, had an extremely deranged crazy woman in here the other day with her four children and decided to just go off on anybody that got in their way. I kicked her out told her never come back causing a disturbance big disturbance. So she comes back she gets trespassed that's easy enough LMFAO
I noticed that delivery is very irregular and random. It is impossible to designate a time slot, which means you have to stick to home days and hours to receive your food. Also, food sometimes gets delivered beyond your expectation it is already after you had to buy the same items from other shop. I like Korean food, but this is beyond my tolerance level. Lastly, a customer officer hung up on me while I was describing my problem. I will never purchase from this shop.
I would give a negative 5 rating if I could. lousy customer service. The cashiers mostly have very bad attitudes. No greeting customers. Even when paying, they didn't say a word and showed an unpleasant attitude on their faces. Their attitude was like I was hostile. I made a purchase here and paid in full but what I received was an unacceptable service.
