I booked through Holidu and the property was managed by Click&Guest in Gran Canaria. I picked this place because of the pool. It was in the photos. That was the whole point of choosing this apartment over so many others.
When we arrived, the neighbors told us the pool could not be used. Nothing in the advertisement said this. My daughter and I showed up excited for our holiday and that was the first thing we heard. Really disappointing.
The staff from Click&Guest at check-in told us not to worry. She said we would get some money back or be moved to another place. I believed her. We waited. Nothing happened. No call, no email, no message. Nothing. I sent a formal email explaining everything. I also sent WhatsApp messages. It is now 2 weeks later and I have not received a single reply. Not one word from Click&Guest.
Because of the pool not being available, we had to go out every single day and spend money we did not plan to spend. This was supposed to be a relaxing holiday for me and my daughter. Instead it was stressful and upsetting from day one.
What makes this even worse is how they treat you after. They make promises and then just ignore you completely. No reply, no refund, no solution. You are just left alone with the problem.
There are so many options in Gran Canaria. Please do not make the same mistake I made. If something goes wrong with Click&Guest, do not expect any help. They will not respond and they will not care.

Door een vergissing op de verkeerde datum geboekt. Hier kwam ik binnen een uur achter en probeerde te cancelen. Dat kon maar dan zou ik slecht 75 - terug krijgen van de 622,-. Dat ruikt meer naar diefstal dan naar service. I booked the wrong date by mistake. i noticed within an hour and tried to cancel. They told me it was possible but from the 622,- I would only get back 75,-. For me that smells more like theft then to service.
Despite sending a checkout video confirming that my belongings were complete, I still haven't received my deposit for my accommodation. I rented it through HOLIDU.Furthermore, there's no email address or form to fill out to contact Holidu. This proves that Holidu is the worst company in Europe.
There is apparently no way to delete your account once you register at Holidu. I registered as a homeowner but I didn't continue the proces because Holidu is not what I am looking for. Now I am stuck with an account I can't delete. The case manager (someone called Ellie) won't respond to my messages and is obviously ignoring me. Shitty.
