I reside in a housing cooperative and recently had a problem with my door lock. The management insists that the lock is my sole responsibility and is charging me an excessive amount for 2.5 hours of labor for a simple replacement. Their reasoning is flawed: if I am solely responsible for the lock, why do they and the housing association keep a master key to my home? It seems unreasonable to claim ownership while maintaining access, yet refusing to take responsibility when it malfunctions. Additionally, their technician arrived unprepared, lacking necessary parts despite a clear fault report. I am now forced to pay for their poor planning and multiple trips. Customer service refuses to engage in a reasonable conversation. This feels like an attempt to extract money from residents rather than providing a professional service. Very disappointed with the management's lack of transparency and common sense.
I live in a housing cooperative and recently faced an issue with my door lock. The management is insisting that the lock is completely my responsibility and is charging me an outrageous fee for 2.5 hours of labor for a simple cylinder change. Their logic is flawed: if I am entirely responsible for the lock, why do they and the housing association keep a master key to my home? It’s unreasonable to claim ownership of the lock while maintaining access to it, yet refusing responsibility for its maintenance when it fails. To make matters worse, their technician arrived unprepared without the necessary parts, despite a clear fault report. I am now forced to pay for their poor planning and extra trips. Customer service is unwilling to engage in a fair discussion. This feels like a way to extract money from residents instead of providing a professional service. Very disappointed in the management's lack of transparency and common sense.
The housing cooperative has left me in a difficult financial situation. It was not a comfortable home, and I am paying fees for an apartment that loses value every year. I will never invest in a housing cooperative again! I am left with negative equity and had to pay the bank out of my own pocket to get rid of it.
I am renting an apartment and plan to terminate my lease in December 2024. I have a three-month notice period, and to allow the management to rent it out by March 1st, I am moving out at the beginning of January. This gives them two weeks in January and four weeks in February to prepare the apartment for a new tenant. A new tenant was found, but due to a lack of response from an employee regarding the apartment's readiness, the new tenant did not proceed with the rental. Now, I am being charged for an additional month's rent. This is extremely poor handling by the staff, and it’s evident from other reviews that many have had similar experiences with their incompetence.
I have had an account with a major bank for 12 years, but I stopped using it and now remember why. I wanted to deposit cash onto my credit card at a branch. I had to fill out an outdated form, counting the money to write down the exact amount. You can't fill out the form without having a physical card with you. While the staff tries to assist, the process is cumbersome. In comparison, at another bank, you simply hand over the cash and provide your credit card number found in the app.
Can we give a minus star? Every time I call, I know it will take half a day. Currently, I am on hold for over two hours, and I have been third in line for at least 30 minutes. If I send an email, it can take weeks to receive a partial response, forcing me to call back for more information. It seems there are not enough staff and they are under high pressure, leading to sloppy service. The customer service is worse than that of other companies, which I thought was impossible.
