Rip Off From China

To repeat the words of another reviewer:This company created counterfeit merchandise based on another artist's work and then fraudulently sold it as "handmade in Oregon"(USA). Once I got the shipping notice from China I knew I'd been ripped off.I received my herb stripper today. Such a sad disappointment. I thought that I was purchasing an item from an artist. Instead I got a piece from China. Seriously??!!

Bait and Switch tactics used by hugimpel

This company advertised on Facebook, showing a video of a charming and versatile ceramic herb stripper that they said was designed and handmade by the Hamblin Brothers in Oregon. First, they stole the video image from a pottery artist, The Naked Potter, who works out of Florida.Second, there are no Hamblin Brothers. The items are mass produced in China by hugimpel and are clearly inferior to the items shown in the advertisement. The holes into which the herb stems go were graduated in size in the advertised originals. The items that were shipped had 4 identically sized holes. The items that were shipped were clearly mass produced and had irregular spots from stray pieces of clay not removed before firing.Third, the company is very slow to respond and does not directly answer questions.I ended up getting a refund from my credit card company due to the failure to deliver or provide tracking information over 3 weeks after the order was made and paid for. Finally, I wrote a similar review on Facebook, which was promptly removed, I am assuming by hugimpel.

SCAM, DO NOT PURCHASE

The Facebook ad clearly stated these products are hand made in Oregon. They are not! They are made and shipped from China. Total scam!

WORST COMPANY EVER. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!!!!

I ordered an item and the item received was a bit different than what was actually advertised and it did not function correctly as it should have. Their website claims to offer 100% customer satisfaction and guarantee replacement or refund with paid return shipping for defective items. They will not refund your money or provided return shipping label. This is the worst Chinese company ever. I DO NOT RECOMMEND BUYING FROM THEM. THEY ARE SCAMMERS.

Buyer beware…

I bought some herb strippers after seeing an ad on Instagram. They claim these are locally handmade in Oregon. They come from China. Caveat Emptor

Don’t support businesses that steal from others

I know the potter who actually made these items and the videos and pictures they are showing are of her and of her product. This group is at best stealing her work and at worst will scam anyone who thinks they are buying work from a local artist.

I am the potter who makes the herb…

I am the potter who makes the herb strippers and I am a woman in Florida (the_naked_potter on IG). I sell the herb strippers on Etsy only (once or twice a year). This scam company stole my videos with my hands and pottery, and they reuse them with zero edits to steal money from people. I’m getting lots of folks telling me that they never received anything. The website used to have my photos with my art and hands and even my Etsy reviews but it looks like they now used AI to regenerate fake images. I’ve been trying my best to report the videos and profiles on IG and Facebook but all reports are getting rejected as invalid. I really feel bad that people are getting scammed from misuse of my art. Counterfeit Product that IS NOT made in Oregon, but China.

This company created counterfeit merchandise based on another artist's work and then fraudulently sold it as "handmade in Oregon"(USA). Once I got the shipping notice from China I knew I'd been ripped off. I now found the actual artist and purchased a beautiful herb stripper versus this poorly made non functional mess that they sent me. They attempt to use paypal to circumvent refunding on something that was not as described by asking you to send it back to China. Buyer beware!!

Total scam!

The products I received are not the quality of what the herb stripper that was featured. It is not inscribed on the bottom and does not look handmade. I bought 3 and feel that I have been scammed. Do not purchase this product.
