Our Herman Miller Aeron chair arrived safely surrounded by heavy duty bubble wrap in a heavy duty box. The chair itself is flawless, and it's versatile and comfortable. my wife and I are delighted with it.
Extremely slow shipping. Chair was pre-owned (as expected) but in decent condition. Price was fair. More than 1 week between order being placed and shipping label being created. More than one week between shipping labeled being created and actually being shipped.
The delivery said by Dec 23 on the website and the product arrived days later. I returned the product two days after I received it because the tension swivel rod does not work. My husband is 5’11 and 225lbs and even after turning the rod to stiffen the tension in the back of the chair, hundreds of turns, the seat leans all the way back. After much back and forth with the company via email (they do not have a working customer service phone number- always goes straight to voicemail) they finally sent me a shipping return label. I returned it immediately packed in the same materials via ups ground. Waiting for my money back guarantee as it was very expensive for a refurbished product basic model.
This has been, without exaggeration, the worst customer service experience I’ve ever had.I ordered a Herman Miller Mirra V2 chair listed at $599 (open-box “like new”) that specifically included a polished star base, mesh back lining, and adjustable seat. What I received instead was an entirely different, lower-end version that the company advertises online for $415. From the start, communication was painfully unprofessional—responses were often fragments like “a deal will process,” with no explanation of what was actually being done. I constantly had to send follow-up emails just to clarify basic next steps. It somehow got worse when pricing was discussed. I was first offered $100 off if I keep the chair I was sent—yet even with that, the math showed they were effectively expecting me to pay more than list price for the cheaper chair they sent by mistake. When I pointed this out and asked for a clear breakdown, the response was to simply tell me to repack it and return it.To make matters worse, the chair arrived in a badly damaged box, with missing packing materials, and I was repeatedly told to arrange and pay for UPS pickup myself—despite this being entirely due to their shipping error.Between the wrong product, confusing and dismissive communication, and attempts to shift cost and effort onto the customer, this company has shown a complete lack of accountability or professionalism. I ultimately have to pursue a credit card dispute just to get a resolution.Save yourself the frustration and shop elsewhere!
Wow. Not only did they sell me a used chair when it was not advertised as used, but they told me they would reimburse me for the UPS pick up and they never did. I kept going back-and-forth with them. They seem not to care. The Better Business Bureau has this business rated at a D. I would stay away from this company at all costs. Also check out the Reddit reviews, these reviews are not good.
The chair was shipped with inadequate protection and it arrived damaged and broken. HumanSpine did ship a replacement part that was broken. I also complained that the base of the chair was clearly used for a long time, with lots of scratches and marks. I requested that they replace the base, and they said they would. I've followed up (3) times with no luck, as they are "checking into it." I see now in other reviews, that this company is selling used chairs... Had I known, I would have purchased elsewhere. I was scammed.
