So around the holidays being a Huntington customer I was cashing a check from a Huntington custome after they told me if I deposit it into my account it would not be available for a couple days. No I need it because it was three days until christmas. So she encouraged me to cash it and then deposit it. So I left to go shopping with debit card and went to check out $560.00 worth of things to find out my card declined. So embarrassed- worried then became frustrated 0-210 as soon as I checked my online banking! I called and they said someone from the bank put a hold on my cash! (They heard every word at the moment I e ever used in my vocabulary- if you know what I mean) I was not nice I was PISSED!
Well ok so today I went and done the same thing. But I only leave $200 in there this time. Well thinking ooh that was a one time- surely they don’t do that dumb shit all the time! Like who puts a hold on cash? Duh…. Dumbasses…. Huntington Bank sure does! Cause it happened again! So for now on I will only go and cash my checks! F this place! I will continue my account at KEYBANK! Hell I can go put cash in the atm and use it instantly! So I STRONGLY SUGGEST- ANOTHER BANK but here!

I MEAN WHO THE HELL HOLDS CASH?? The check cleared to be cashed- remember you run it through you check checker! TF you hand me cash and I hand it back to deposit!

This has been the most disappointing banking experience I've ever encountered. After changing my phone number, I found myself unable to access my online banking account through any other verification methods. I was informed that I need to drive 6 hours to a branch just to update my phone number. My recommendation is to avoid banking with them.
The service provided is incredibly disappointing. I have dealt with numerous banks across different regions, and none have been as inadequate as this one. Their online banking system is ineffective, and contacting support often results in long waits and no real help. Even if they respond, the advice is often to visit a branch, which isn’t practical for many customers. Closing my account required significant effort, including international travel. I would recommend choosing a different bank altogether.
This bank is, without a doubt, the worst I have ever experienced. Having lived in various states and countries, I can confidently say that no other bank compares to this one in terms of poor service. Their online banking is a complete joke. If you’re lucky, their support team might return your call within five hours, but it often takes days, if they even bother to call back. And when they do, the agent typically just says, 'You need to visit your local branch for help.' That's not practical, especially when there isn't a branch nearby! Customer service has been utterly useless in resolving any issues, including my account closure. I had to fly from another country just to close this account! It's a completely worthless institution. I advise banking with anyone else.
The customer service here has made my life incredibly difficult. I plan to report them and switch my credit card to another provider. After ordering a replacement credit card, they told me it would be delivered, but they made numerous mistakes and failed to resolve the issue.
I informed this bank about the full payoff date for my loan, yet they still reported a late payment despite receiving the check on time. They don't respect payment dates like other institutions do, and they seem indifferent to consumer needs. Avoid this bank; they act like robots and do not honor commitments.
I will never engage with this bank again. We opened a specific account due to eligibility requirements, but encountered numerous issues. Accessing the online account was a hassle, and the system made erroneous changes to our contact information. The bank locked our account for transfers, claiming the other bank was illegitimate, which was not true. After months of being misled about incentives, we were told we wouldn't receive the promised bonus. This bank has shown gross misrepresentation and should be held accountable for their misleading information.
After many years with this bank, I was treated like a problem. They held my check for an unreasonable amount of time without explanation, despite verification that the funds were available. This isn't the first time I've faced issues with their service. Now, I've been without my vehicle for over a week due to their delays, and they seem unconcerned about the impact on my job.
