I frequently find that at least one item is missing from my orders, and often there's also a damaged item. There have been instances where my entire order was forgotten without any notification, which is frustrating if you're counting on receiving your groceries.
Caution is warranted! They require you to enter your payment details before you can view their offerings. Additionally, you must create an account for a subscription before assessing their products. When I attempted to delete my account, they informed me it could take up to 45 days to remove my information. This lack of transparency is concerning.
After several years of using their service, I found them increasingly expensive compared to local stores. They now charge high delivery fees and expect tips for drivers. Recently, I wanted to check prices but found I had to reactivate my account first. The prices were shockingly high; I ended up canceling my account immediately. To my surprise, they attempted to charge my old card a week later. Their practices appear to be misleading, and many others share similar experiences.
It's disheartening to write this review. I valued the sustainability aspect and the convenience of having food delivered. However, I've noticed a decline in quality, with many items now packaged in plastic. If I forget to customize my order, I end up with unwanted items and inflated costs. I recently compared prices and found many were the same or even higher than local stores. Additionally, the promised recycling service has been discontinued. I decided to cancel my subscription today; it’s just not worth it anymore.
I've experienced problems with receiving delivery notifications from the service. They only inform me when the delivery is ready, leaving no time for adjustments. I had to cancel my subscription after several requests to be added back to the pre-order list went unanswered. The last delivery was set to cost $150, which would have overdrawn my account. Since switching to an independent carrier, I also get no advance notice, making it difficult to prepare for delivery.
Recently, I received crushed boxes for my order. Although the contents were fine, it was concerning that they delivered damaged packaging. After multiple attempts to resolve this, including unanswered emails and phone calls, they offered a small discount on my next order. I learned that since the merger, drivers work for tips and have limited benefits. I ended up cancelling my subscription after they continued to load my cart automatically, despite my request to stop.
Delivery has been unreliable, which is a significant issue for groceries. I used the service for over a year, but after restarting it, only one out of six attempts resulted in a delivery. I canceled my subscription after a missing box disrupted my meal plans, and they took five business days to process my refund.
