iShopforipsos leave you out of pocket: AVOID

I don't expect to make big bucks from mystery shopping but a fun bit of pocket money would be nice. Don't expect fun or satisfaction from the iShopforIpsos experience. They will take every chance they can to evade paying you for as long as possible. Dragging out the approval process of a completed survey is a core practice.Other criticisms:- Unclear instructions. Sometimes contradictory, or indeed, non-existent. Presented poorly too... it's the web in 2001.- Clunky submission form. I had to upload over 30 photos to one report. I had to keep saving and reloading and often my answers were lost. The backend is bad.- Unfriendly, pernickety slow feedback. I was upbraided for not adding an answer I wasn't asked to provide. I was required to upload a picture of something that wasn't there. There was no workaround. Anther stalling tactic.- Very slow payment. Between doing the task and filing a report to receiving money in your bank account can take as long as 3 weeks. They will game the deadlines and Bank Holidays to ensure they keep the money, presumably to earn some interest, for as long as they possible can. The money is poor: On reflection, once you've messed about with the software, the unhelpful staff, filed your report and paid your petrol money etc... it makes for a lousy hourly wage. You upfront the expense... without any guarantee that they will ever pay out.The one company that needs the feedback of Mystery Shoppers to help it improve is the company that organises the Mystery Shoppers. I am happy to oblige. 1*. Very poor. Very unsatisfied. Do not recommend. (Take your pick.)Addition: Regarding the reply below from iPsos: I have already flagged these issues to the address provided and these have been ignored. Flim flam replies only were forthcoming.

This has now been resolved.they took on board what was discussed and I did get paid after an intervention from hq.Thank you for your quick response moved from one to three starsi WAS INVITED TO DO A POSTAGE AND DELIVERY REVIEW, WHERE I WENT UNDERCOVER AT A BRANCH, I DID TWO ON THE SAME DAY. SEND A BOX OF TISSUES, DONT ASK ABOUT THE PRICE, AND GIVE HONEST FEEDBACK.i DID AS REQUIRED THE PARCEL COMES BACK DAMAGED.tHEY EXPECT YOU TO PAY FOR THE TISSUES, THE WRAPPING THE PETROL AND THEN REFUSE TO REIMBURSE I SPENT 8.95. AND GAVE HONEST FEEDBACK.OK THE QUESTIOONANIRE MAY NOT BE WHAT THEY WANTED BUT A SHOPPER SHOULD NEVER BE OUT OF POCKET OTHERWISE THEY WILL NEED TO PAY AN EXPENSE FEE FIRST.THE REASON FOR REFUSAL WHY THE BOX OF TISSUES WASNT THE SIZE THEY WANTED BY 2 CM . BUT THAT SIZE IS AN EXPENSIVE BOX WHICH THEY DONT REIMBURSE EITHER.i HAVE DONE OTHER SHOPS FOR THESE GUYS NO ISSUE, BUT NEVER EVER WILL I PAY UPFRONT FOR THEM TO NOT REIMBURSE OR THEY DONT LIKE THE FEEDBACK SO THEY DONT PASS IT TO THEIR CLIENT.SINCE I HAVE ESCALATED AND THEY STILL REFUSE TO REIMBURE IT LEAVES A SOUR TASTE , AS I COULD HAVE PAID A LOT MORE , EITHER THE CLIENT DOENT LIKE THE FEEDBACK OR THEY DONT WANT TO PASS IT UPSTAIRS.16/08 head of operations rings back awaiting their resolution Will put a header at the top as it s lessons learned when resolution completes

Wild Goose Chases

If you're scheduler has favorites, you won't get approved for the good shops. Get onsite and need clarification, scheduler doesn't respond. Wild goose chases that they WILL NOT pay you for your efforts. Other shoppers, doing the same shops, are able to secure jobs double what you're offered in the beginning. I will not rest until they pay me every flipping dollar they owe me. I've got my tolls added up, mileage, and time. I

Very hard work to make any money…

This is hard work I have done 2 tasks and that is enough. It must work out at £0.50 an hour by the time the task is completed and then filling in the report. Then you may not get paid even when this is all done. Sorry Ipsos not for me

Is it just me or is this company is…

Is it just me or is this company is borderline scam. Every food shop I have done for them it has been rejected.Anyone else? I believe they are getting free work. We don't have proof that they aren't using our work but telling us it has been rejected.Well I will be reporting them to BBB to at least leave a mark against them for public view.

They seem to do what they can to not pay for an honest job!

Over the years I have worked for many Mystery Shopping websites and the only one I have had continued issues with is this one. I manage to do a few jobs here and there for them that go smoothly, but the big issues is they will do what they can to get out of paying too often. Their auditors are either not very good or they are purposely finding ways to avoid payment which is not on. I did a long mystery shop for them and followed the exact advice given by the team running this particular job and then they come back and fail me and so refuse to pay even though I did what they wanted to the letter on the advice of a member of the team. This job was worth £32 as it required a fair bit of work online and in the actual shop. I'm currently trying to get them to pay what is owed and then I will definitely be reporting their practices as enough is enough now, and of course will not be staying with them. There are plenty of other much better mystery shopping sites out there I would advise not to waste precious time with this lot. I'll update if I get any results re the owed money!

They expect you to spend your own money…

They expect you to spend your own money on visits, then fail to reimburse you for various made-up reasons. Stay away from their scammy practices!

They refused to pay.

My mission was rejected although I followed the guidelines and completed everything. They refused to pay me and I had to pay for the products out of my pocket plus gas and time.

Possibly the single worst company I've…

Possibly the single worst company I've ever had to deal with.I work for a company that gets mystery shopped by these troglodytes, and I've requested numerous times how they handle data, and what measures they have in place to ensure their moronic low IQ mystery shoppers delete video and voice data. What was their response? NOTHING.For all I know my face and voice is still on one of their creepy shoppers harddrive 🤢I also filed a complaint against an extremely aggressive mystery shopper who (actually a true story btw) walked out of our store, turned off his camera, and came back in and kicked off at 3 members of staff about incorrect policies and procedures even though WE WERE CORRECT. What did Ipsos do? Nothing.Poor company and extremely poor staff.
