I can’t stress enough how annoying it is to offer service to people and not have anybody a customer service number to contact. I have no idea if I’m insured or not and yeah, it might be a good price but you go through a period where they’re they’re seeing if they will ensure you you get it just a lot of mixed emails and signals like I don’t know if I’m inured. I don’t know if I have insurance for six months but I’m probably double insured. I don’t know. I don’t know it’s not worth the hassle.

Worst claims service of all insurance companies. They are the cheapest but they will never defend you once the other side wants a lawyer involved. Got in a crash in july of 2026. They said was 50/50 so no one was going to get money, they were very clear. Once the other side brought a lawyer, my insurance (root) dropped to their knees and stroked the other guy and said they will agree to put it 100% fault on me. He also put in a false claim of injury and my insurance also gave him money for it. I went through THREE claims adjusters to just get this disgusting result when it was 50% not my fault. Its not worth the cheap price. Please dont buy this crap insurance.

I was happy with them until it came time for them to follow through. Like any other insurance company, they will do everything in their power to not provide coverage. They are happy to take your money but will turn their back on you when it comes time to pay out.

Update on the app

11/04-Thank you for responding. I am able to work the app better now. 10/30-The app, does not work. I am a new customer and all it does is sent me to request I quote. I am trying to use the app as an exiting customer.

Awful service

Awful service. It took nine days to be placed in a rental. They missed the initial valuation of my truck by 50%. It took them eight days to fix that mishap after making me resubmit the same photos three times and confirming receipt each time. They switched back and forth from total loss a few times. I guess my Kenwood speakers are worth six thousand dollars. It took 22 days to be able to take my car to a shop. They will not communicate with you unless you call or email them. Extremely poor experience. Do not use Root. Pray that you don't get in an accident with someone who does.
