⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I had a blood draw at Jura Health for Medichecks tests and was honestly so impressed. Laura was incredibly friendly, calm, and clearly very competent. She put me completely at ease, managed to coax my notoriously sluggish veins into cooperating, and somehow made the whole experience genuinely pleasant.

What really stood out was how warm and confidence-building she was — you could tell immediately that you were in very safe hands. I’m now seriously considering bringing my son here for his vaccinations, as he has a huge needle phobia and Laura clearly knows exactly how to handle anxious patients.

Five stars without hesitation.

Patronizing ‘advice’

We had booked to go to India and it was recommended that we go to Jura Health. We phoned about 5 months in advance only to be told ‘phone us at 3 months before we travel. So we arranged our initial consultation for 3rd Sept. Jura Health cancelled it - didn’t even bother to suggest rescheduling it. We eventually got an appointment for 26th Sept (our trip was 4 Nov). We were seen by Judith who started on what vaccinations we needed, whether in malarial areas and then started going on about what bank cards we were taking. What handbag etc. Keeping a copy of passport etc She really came across as patronizing as if we had never travelled before. We’ve done backpacking trips and we have plenty common sense so we don’t need anyone telling us how to go about a trip. So thdd we n she gave us a big list of vaccinations we needed to have - rabies Hep A typhoid cholera - she then asked us when we were going ‘oh you’d better get a move on with the vaccinations’ and refused to accept responsibility that Jura cancelled our appointment in 3rd Oct ‘oh we were busy’. So for the 2 of us - the vaccinations was going to cost in the region of £2000!!! We then left but the receptionist then called us to pay £70 ‘for the consultation’ - what the patronizing lecture on how to travel?? We researched further and discovered the NHS gave all the basic vaccinations for free. We got all the necessary jabs. India is full of street dogs - don’t bother them and they don’t bother you. Jura advised 1 bottle of Deet per week. We bought 8 - hardly used and we have stayed covered up. I got 1 bite in 4 weeks which is a record for me as usually I am bitten alive. She advised us getting a filtration bottle (£50 and they sell them but we didn’t buy any) - India has bottled water on every street corner! I wouldn’t waste my time (or money!!) going to Jura.

In the hands of real professionals!

From the moment you enter the front door you feel relaxed, comfortable and at ease!nurses nowadays don't have a minute to think, not hear both Judith and Laura give you that time to ak questions, have a laugh and know you are getting the best advice the NHS doesn't always have time for. My heartfelt thanks to them both and I would recommend them to all!

Jura - Hong Kong and Vietnam …

Very comprehensive travel and vaccination advice for Hong Kong and Vietnam. I was given up to date WHO advice on recommended vaccinations, which ones I needed to pay for privately and those that I was entitled to get through NHS. A professional and friendly place, highly recommend this cli

Patronising and spreading misinformation

Judith came across as extremely patronising and heavily exacerbated the dangers of going to certain countries. She persistently emphasised the possibility of getting pickpocketed in said countries however, many cities in Europe have a much higher rate which she would have know if she had done research. Additionally, she went on to assume that we would be going there to party and expressed her concerns of getting drunk while away and the dangers involved, yet if she had bothered to ask she would have found out that we do not drink alcohol at all instead proceeded to provide a lecture of the dangers. In another exchange she suggested not standing to close to people on the beach as we may get drugged, this is complete an utter nonsense if she had done a quick google search relating to this scenario she would have found out that the apparent drugging on the beach was in fact a lie. Lastly, she went on to explain the importance of travel insurance, making it out as if we were naive and would not have any. Once again if she had asked she would have realised this is not our first time going on a backpacking trip, instead acting as though we had just picked random countries yesterday and decided today that we were going to go.It is not for you to give your unwanted bias opinion on the places people travel to. Simply because you would not do something does not mean that everyone else won’t.This type of scaremongering is exactly why certain countries have misleading reputations. Many places have changed their reputation but you continue to spread fear that these countries are as unsafe as they were 10-20 years ago.In future they should consider focussing on the job at hand rather than unsolicited advice on matters they quite clearly don’t fully understand. We have spent months researching and understanding the risks involved in travelling it is not for you to have an opinion and make people feel uncomfortable on their decisions. This was meant to be a simple vaccination but turned into an unwanted lecture.

Amazing staff

I came to Jura Health after booking a trip to Ghana and not sure of what I needed. Staff were amazing and wrote out a plan of appropriate vaccines and when to get them as well as giving general advice for travelling and for Ghana in particular. All staff were so friendly, welcoming, and helpful, highly recommend!
