Review Time
I got my hair done at just Cuts Blackburn. The man did a lovely job and my hair is fab however my experience just wasn't enjoyable..first of all he made it clear with indirect digs several times, that he wasn't impressed about doing a full head of highlights on 'extra long' hair. Whether that was his intentions or not I don't know but he made me feel an inconvenience for being there. Secondly, there was no conversation or engagement between me and the stylist, other than basic hair related stuff such as discussing what I wanted etc. That was a shame as he seemed friendly at first. Once the foils were removed and hair washed, he ragged through the knots with a tangle teezer, paddle brush and comb. He had to physically empty the brush of clumps of hair several times. Lastly, the price list states that for highlights, toner and a cut and blow - full head £80, £110 for extra long hair. I was happy to pay the £110 as I have long hair and understand this uses more product and more time, however he tried to tell me it would be £150 as highlights start from £110 and I had extra long hair and had already gone through 4 lots of colour, then £180 if I wanted an olaplex treatment. I knew this wasn't right so I had the price list ready (which doesn't state starting from) and had my sister call up for a quote for the exact same treatment I was having for extra long hair. My sister was told it would be £110-£130 which is completely different to what I had been told and again not what the price list states. In the end he didn't apply a toner, as apparently my hair took so well to the dye so it wasn't needed and therefore brought the cost back down. In my opinion he knew I was on to him trying to rip me off. I highly doubt I would go back here.

Went to Richmond (Nelson) with 4 kids and had the worst cuts ever. The lady who did mine, and one of my stepdaughters, screwed them both up, even after looking at photos of what we wanted. She didn't know what she was doing and had to stop and let someone else "fix' mine for me. Won't ever go there again, and definitely don't recommend it.
The last time that I had a haircut at the one in the Richmond Mall in Richmond New Zealand, they ruined my hair. I wanted to cry. I explained how I wanted it done but they obviously didn't listen or care. It was awful. I used to have such good results there, but none of the stylist I liked are there anymore, they have new ones and in my opinion, they're awful, I don't know how they stay in business. I have gone back to a shop that I used to go to, it's more expensive but well worth it. I was telling her what happened and she said that place is TERRIBLE, she hasn't seen one good cut from there yet. She said she had a client earlier that went there, they ruined his hair, so he came to her right away, she said it twas an absolute mess. She said my hair will take probably a few cuts to start getting it the way I used to wear it, she said they really butchered it. Please, if you want a good cut, DO NOT GO THERE, you won't be happy.
