Adrian Stoker at Crewe branch was a massive help for me and my partner. We had a really positive experience with the branch, walked us through all the steps needed for first timers, answered any and all questions we had when we asked, could not have asked for a better advisor
Lydia Ramoutar-Greville is the best mortgage advisor I could have ever wished for and I can’t overstate how important her help has been over the last few months. As a first-time buyer without family in the country, I don’t think I would have made it to completion without unwavering support and expert advice. She’s been there for me every step of the way, and I know I’ve got her to thank for taking up residence in my dream flat in South London. She shows proactive commitment to securing the best deals for me, be that for the purchase price, mortgage rate or insurance. One of Lydia's standout qualities is her extensive network, which she leverages to expedite the mortgage approval process. Her connections proved instrumental in ensuring quick approvals for my mortgage deals, and she was able to secure a lower rate for me that will end up saving me around £5k over the next two years.I’ve got pre-existing conditions that exempt me from most insurance policies, but with her comprehensive understanding of the available insurance options, she found a policy that was tailored to my specific needs, so that I will continue to be able to pay for my mortgage even if I become ill.In addition to her financial expertise, Lydia offered valuable advice on how to increase and maintain a high credit score. Her insights into credit management were practical and adapted to my individual circumstances. Where I come from, we don’t have the same credit system as in the UK, so I very nearly made several mistakes, such as setting up a new credit card, which could have prevented me from getting my mortgage, but Lydia was always ready with advice and steered me through various credit challenges.Beyond the financial aspects of the process, Lydia provided invaluable emotional support throughout the often stressful journey of buying a property. Her reassuring presence and genuine concern for my well-being made a substantial difference, bringing me successfully through a process that might otherwise have been overwhelming.Lydia Ramoutar-Greville's determined dedication to her clients' best interests, coupled with her exceptional skills in negotiation, network leveraging, and emotional support, make her an outstanding mortgage advisor. She is not merely a professional assisting with a transaction; Lydia is a partner who is there for you throughout the entire process, ensuring that your property purchase journey is as smooth and enjoyable as possible. In conclusion, I wholeheartedly recommend Lydia Ramoutar-Greville to anyone in need of a mortgage advisor. Her expertise, integrity, and personal touch make her an invaluable asset, and I am SO grateful for the exceptional service she provided.Sincerely,Rosie
Joanna Halliday has been fantastic so far in our look for a new home. we are doing shared ownership and she has given us all of the information needed to make an informed decision while putting my mind at ease. would recommend anyone speak to her if you are looking for a mortgage.
Happy one year & one month anniversary to the time Jonathan Leyshon asked us to pay a solicitor he knows money and said he would help us buy a house. We haven't heard from him or Darlows estate agents since despite going into the branch multiple times, calling and emailing. Last we heard 'there are no properties.'Jonathan pressured us to pay within days of meeting him and I regret being naive and new to buying property.Do not hand over any money to him/ solicitors he tells you to pay urgently/ Spicketts Battrick.
I had an awful experience using Just Mortgages and Sonam. Throughout most of the process Sonam was very friendly and helpful, however there were two massive issues with the service. Firstly, I was pressured into signing an agreement to may £1000 for their services. This was not mentioned during any previous discussions with Sonam, and was very much sprung on me at the last moment. I declined the fee, given that other Brokers charge customers no fee. Sonam then got in touch to say she could reduce the fee to £500. I explained that it would still not be worth me paying this, so she waived the fee. This is clerkly a ploy to make an extra £1000 off of less informed customers. It is worth anyone who may use Sonam or Just Mortgages being aware of this- you do not need to pay this fee.The second and much more significant issue is that, for reasons which were never explained, Sonam suddenly stopped returning any calls or emails, with no explanation. This left me in an extremely difficult situation, as only Sonam, as the broker, was in a position to either pursue or withdraw my mortgage application. It turns out that the lender would only speak direct to the broker. Shockingly, as the applicant was unable to undertake any actions. I explained this to Sonam, yet received no response, and she would not withdraw my application. This left me in no man's land. The disconcerting thing about this, and the reason I feel that it is worth sharing is that prior to this, Sonam was very pleasant and helpful. With no prior notice I was cut off with no explanation or warning. My suspicion is that, having not paid the £1000 fee, at some point a decision was made that I was not a profitable customer, and so not worth Sonam's time. However, in the lack of any explanation, this is just speculation. I have raised a complaint with Just Mortgages try and understand why this happened.
