Prices look good and competitive—until you complete the purchase. Only after paying do they block the order and require you to create a full account. Once that’s done, they demand a photo of a government-issued ID (passport, ID card, driver’s license, etc.) together with a handwritten note saying “k4g.com” and the date.
There is no valid reason to request sensitive documents like IDs, home addresses, and phone numbers just to buy a digital key, especially when this requirement is not disclosed before checkout. Requesting this level of personal data after payment raises serious concerns about privacy and data handling.
I refused to provide such information and am now going through their refund process. I strongly advise AVOIDING this site.
I had a problem with a game key; it turned out to be the supplier's fault.
I requested a refund to the original payment method, which actually took more than 2 days, insisting by email that I did not want their K4G balance.
And as of January 21st, they supposedly started the refund process, and today is February 8th and I still haven't received a single penny.
Tried to make an order, but my card wasn't allowed to go through their payment processor. Contacted customer service, and they said they do accept MasterCard, but couldn't tell me why payment didn't go through. They advised I use another payment, which felt weird, as the card works everywhere else I go.
Edit: In regard to card issues. If that was true, then the company agent should have mentioned that. I still had a bad experienced that could have been better if the customer representative had been more honest and thorough.
TL;DR
k4g is top. Never buying, though, anything from "Athena" supplier again. Terrible experience...
The Timeline:
I bought cd keys for ten games, didn't pay any insurance for any of them (I never found any use for it in the past). All worked except for one: Like a dragon gaiden. It said that it is already activated. Supplier was Athena.
I opened a ticket with k4g requesting a new key. They contacted the supplier and they requested screenshots proving that I haven't activated the game. I delivered.
They came back asking me to reach Steam and ask for the date of the activation of the key that didn't work for me. I sent a screenshot of the Steam response as I was asked (activation date preceded that of my purchase).
Supplier never responded. k4g offered me a refund in credit in their site. I accepted and then went on to buy the same cd key from a different supplier. It worked and all is swell.
I must have spent at least 3 hours trying to resolve this. I will never buy anything from Athena. I just placed a new order in k4g (avoiding Athena of course) and everything worked fine.
My order is in processing for two weeks now. Their boleto (brazillian payment option) integration is not working properly. They refused to give me a refund or to manually send me the key. The payment went through according to their website.
I had a problem with a game code,At first, making the payment was a problem; the website kept giving me problems. I even tried changing my payment method about 5 times.
When I received the code, it turned out that it was not allowed in my region, even though the product description said it was, and I understand that it's not K4G's fault, it's more the supplier's fault.
Their customer service was very good, they responded quickly and everything (this was in the chat on their website), the problem arises when following up on the case via email.
It's been almost two weeks since I received my order.
To begin with, it took them a whole week to confirm that they would give me a refund to the original payment method, BECAUSE ALL WEEK A DIFFERENT PERSON KEPT INSISTING ON GIVING ME THE REFUND IN K4G COINS or Something like that
I still haven't received a refund after all this. Honestly, I had a really bad experience and it's made me not want to buy from here again.
To buy any product, I have to fill out all my information on their website, then wait for customer support to respond to my request, and then write to them and prove something. It really looks like a scam. This is the first time I've encountered a site like this. It's easier to buy game keys elsewhere.
P.S. - It turns out they need a personal document, which is even stranger.
A $20 order has been put on hold for security reasons after the payment was completed. I've been a customer since 2022. Their email instructed me to respond once I updated my personal information in my account. If the company is unable to fulfill the order, they should not charge my account.
