We too lost a deposit. The surveyor not turned up. No comms. Went a drive to Derby as we are local, showroom locked and Chadd office up for let. Absolute crooks. I hope their conscience haunts them for the pain and hardship they inflict. We have contacted police and Action Fraud who are monitoring the company. I strongly suggest everyone contacts Action Fraud and the police.
We had the driveway completed in feb 2025 and it was 84 square meters the team Richard, Grant & Bill work endlessly to produce an outstanding transformation. The wife said if we can have the same team back we would have the rear yard done as well. 92 square metersThe drive was done in grey and the rear in sienna.highly recommend this company and Team.Chris Healey.. Sandiacre
I paid a deposit also for work to be done in June.Despite the reply back from Kerb Appeal that I have seen on other reviews, saying that existing contracts will be honoured,I received a call yesterday from the actual contractor saying if you still want the job doing then they will give you another quote, and not take any monies until the job is completed,BUT that you should now contact your bank to try and recover the deposit paid to Kerb Appeal. What a mess.Has anyone else had this same phone call?
Have already worte on this site just been keeping check on their website and its been down for maintenance for several days now mmmm No way now of contacting them but we already new that they were uncontactable in anycase, Yes on company House it states they are now registered at Swan Court in Manchester Suppose this not correct either We are still at it with the bank and have contacted our local MP
Extremely disappointed! Everything started off well. The team was friendly and they worked hard so no complaints there. My gripe is with the finish. Trowel marks in the resin which to be fair are not noticeable under normal daylight but get the sun low in the sky and they look awful. We have a curved drive where the resin meets stone. The original survey included blocking around the curve but I allowed myself to be talked into trim instead of blocks, they said it would bend around the curve but instead it is a series of fasseted lines. They put a short ramp behind the gate for ease of wheel bin movement, not very neat. They put a rumble strip of blocks at the entrance to drive but that doesn't look finished at one end. They made a really nice step which we were very pleased with but they were one block short so they put the wrong size and shade in, very unprofessional! Last but not least, the boss put his coffee cup on the window sill, the wind blew it on to the resin and stained it when it was still wet. Finally, didn't clean the gate area as they promised they would. I've been trying to get in contact but they don't answer the phone so we're still waiting for them to rectify problems. Regretfully we would not recommend this firm without these issues being rectified!!!
We have also been scammed by these people! Sales guy came round to the house, happily chatting about family, golf, etc! Took our £1500 deposit. Surveyor came round and gave us an additional option to think about and left us to discuss our decision. When he didn’t get back to me, I phoned him and he said the company have let him go and no longer need his services. We have no way of contacting the company (although have tracked down the sales guy on Facebook and he claims to know nothing about the scam and says the company hasn’t gone bust)! No idea how we can get our money back. These people will simply keep setting up businesses, scamming people and then moving on with their hard earned money!! Disgraceful and disgusting! UPDATESince the reply below to my original review, we have been contacted by another fitter. However, they are simply offering to do the job, nothing about getting our deposit back or the deposit being honoured in the final payment. So no help whatsoever!! I appreciate these fitters may be out of pocket from this company too, so not their fault, but the company owner needs to be held responsible. We are going through our bank to try to claim back the deposit, then will be reporting it higher up for action to be taken on these people.FURTHER UPDATEPlease contact your bank if you have fallen victim to this company. Ours looked into it and confirmed it was fraud and that our deposit was actually paid into a personal bank account, not a business one like we were made to believe. We managed to get back £1400 of our £1500 deposit paid.
Kerb Appeal completed a 36m square section of resin driveway to replace some very tattered tarmac that was there. They managed to pull the job in earlier than expected and despite an accident with a delivery spoiling the original install date they managed to organise a redelivery and finished the job on another day the same week. The team were informative and did a great job of transforming the driveway and small parking area from an eyesore to something that looks very smart.
I'd paid a deposit of £2,605 for having the front bay Windows replaced this was paid on the 13/01/25 had the surveyor called then waiting for a guy to come round to do all the measurements, went to their office on Nottingham road empty, after enquirying their location as there office on pride park.Called in the office seeing when the start date for replacing the front bay Windows, couldn't get an answer for a start date.Having been reading all the reviews, I've come to the conclusion that this so called company is commiting fraud
We had Kerb Appeal at our door in January thos year offering deals for driveways which we were desperate to get done. Of course we got a quote and they made us a really good offer for a resin driveway. My boyfriend paid the deposit that night of £3150 with the rest due on completion. Initially we wanted it doing ASAP so got booked in for mid Feb. Then my boyfriends grandma died and he had to help pay for the funeral. We contacted Kerb Appeal straight away asking for a refund and explained our circumstances. We were within the 14 day cooling off period. They arsed about before telling us to complete the slip on the bottom of the invoice asking for a refund and told us to send it to their new address at Pride Park. I drove round all the units for over an hour but could not find the unit, even asked other businesses of which no one knew of them. I went back the next day and found the unit but it was empty, they had told me they were in the process of moving in so thought nothing of it.After alot of phone calls and texts to various people we had spoken too, they came back to us saying we were out of the cooling off period and they had already bought materials for the job, but said they would hold our deposit until we were ready to proceed.Today by boyfriend rang the guy who came to do the quote, only to be told they have ceased trading! Absolutely disgusted in these people. How can someone do this to so many people? They need locking up! Boyfriend is currenly on the phone to the police as recommended further down this list.
