I have been on two trips with Knitting Tours and would recommend their products. The first tour was to Scotland including Shetland. The instructors for the classes are well known and respected knitters who were very warm and helpful. We went to historic and cultural places that were beautiful and interesting. The guide was very informative and helpful. My most recent tour was their first quilting tour. We started in Edinburgh and went south to York and the Lakes District in northern England. The hotels were very comfortable and the food was good. I really enjoyed the three classes we had. The teachers were thorough and very helpful. I learned techniques that I intend to use in my future quilting projects. If you want a quilting or knitting tour of Ireland or Great Britain I would highly recommend this company.
I reached out to KnittingTours.com to help me put together my dream knitting trip to Scotland - including Shetland. I was putting the trip together for a group of Male Knitters I belong to, and therefore, I wanted to make a a few changes to get more of a male perspective to Scotland and Shetland. From the very first correspondence, everyone at KnittingTours.com was professional, helpful and went above and beyond. We put together an amazing itinerary- and the trip turned out way better than I could have imagined! All 25 guys who went on the trip were blown away by the trip - and we had an amazing time. I can't recommend KnittingTours.com enough. Ann, Sarah and Milda all made the planning and execution flawless! THANK YOU!
The entire experience was wonderful; they struck a perfect balance between activities and time to wonder on our own around the towns and points of interest. Our guides were exceptionally knowledgeable and were able to bring every place we stopped to life for us with their enthusiasm. Clearly, they enjoy sharing their home with visitors.
Fabulous service with attention to detail. Every Ireland experience was fun and well planned. This trip showed the beauty of Ireland with special attention to the wool industry ( knitters will not want to miss this) .Plenty of exploring and shopping time. You are well taken care of and treated like royalty!!
It was especially helpful that KnittingTours arranged the preTour accommodations &hop on hop off bus. The tour was interesting and fun. The group leader & bus driver were delightful. We had a very international group of women who all had knitting and love of yarn in common - a subset of us are even in a WhatsApp message group post-tour. I hope to do another KnittingTours.com trip within the next couple of years.
KnittingTours.com provided a quality experience from the booking process to the end of the tour. The company clearly outlines what is included, the type of accommodations and the itinerary. The classes were very instructive and the instructors very knowledgeable. Most of the tourist stops along the way were of interest, but there was always the option to opt out of a tour if it wasn't. I am a return traveller with Knitting Tours and have a trip lined up for next year so they must do a lot right!
What a fantastic experience! We visited so many interesting stores, had fabulous workshops by such skilled teachers and shopped shopped shopped - until we all said NO MORE YARN! (what knitter ever says that??) Hotels were 4* +. Meals were excellent. The coach was very comfortable. Our guide, Cecilia, was remarkable with her fountain of knowledge about every thing we saw! Trip of a lifetime, for sure. Would definitely travel with knitting tours.com again!
