From Dallas Fort Worth To Paris
My husband and I had paid for our seats: a window seat for me and the one on my left for him. At check-in, we were directed to kiosks to check ourselves in! It makes you wonder what the ground staff are even there for. The machine then assigned us both new seats in the middle of a row of four!!! We had to put our foot down, and after 15 solid minutes of refusing to budge, a manager finally resolved the situation for us.
Once we reached our seats, the usual small amenity kit containing a toothbrush, toothpaste, and other accessories was missing. Apparently, they’re cutting costs! What a shame, as I was counting on them to freshen up during the flight! 10 hours is a long time!
Furthermore, the movie selection was abysmal, the screen was sluggish, it kept glitching…
Moving on, my seat wouldn’t recline; it was broken, making it impossible to sleep properly!
The icing on the cake? The food was absolutely horrific: serving tasteless pasta in ridiculous cardboard trays to a customer paying over 1,000$ for a 10-hour flight, seriously? A piece of cheddar and some mashed potatoes drowned in a foul mayonnaise substitute! I didn’t eat a thing! And I had the pleasure of hearing the flight attendant boasting about the quality of their products and their desire to showcase France through "choice gourmet dishes"! Ha ha ha, there was nothing French about it, not even the water! Moreover, at no point did they offer the small cheese club sandwiches mid-flight, something they used to do because, yes, we were hungry! Budget cuts after budget cuts!
Let’s talk about breakfast, what a disgrace! No tray, oh no, just a ridiculous little cardboard box smaller than a McDonald’s Happy Meal, with stale bread, jam, butter, and an undercooked piece of quiche! Given the ticket prices, it’s scandalous. Turkish Airlines, Lufthansa, American Airlines, British Airways, and Delta leave you in the dust! And I’m not even mentioning the Gulf planes… In short, take notes!
The return flight was catastrophic: a sick man in front of me and two young children behind me kicking my seat and screaming bloody murder the whole way. Parenting is an art that, these days, has been lost! The food was still just as low-end, no amenity kit, and a slow screen.
As far as I’m concerned, I won’t be caught out again. Even if it means having a layover, good riddance Air France, and never again!

Frustrating experience with customer service

I waited on the customer service line for 1.45 hours, only to be disconnected. If the company didn't offer a direct flight from Ottawa to Paris, I would definitely choose a different airline.

Lost luggage experience was a nightmare

They misplaced my bag, which can happen, but this was a priority piece of luggage. I paid a premium for business class and was assured delivery within 24 hours of my flight landing. Now, three days later, it seems they haven't even located my bag, which is puzzling since it should only be in one of two places. I'm assuming it made it on the plane from my initial airport but got lost at the connecting airport. Their customer service is lacking; they rely on forms that don’t provide updates and their representatives are as helpful as nothing, just telling me, "We have no idea where your bag is." Why label it priority if it’s just going to be left behind? I’m only on holiday for a week, and I wouldn't mind if it were just clothes, but I traveled halfway around the world to see my sick mother, carrying Christmas gifts and sentimental items. It’s frustrating that their incompetence has caused me this stress. I did everything right: checked in early, packed light, and provided all necessary details, yet they failed to fulfill their responsibility. I strongly advise against using this airline; if you must, keep valuables in your carry-on and pack extra clothes.

The worst airline I have ever used

The worst airline I have ever used. 100% of flights have been changed with under 10 hours notice (one flight due to depart 6am was changed at 21:45 the night before and only realised as I woke up and decided to check my emails randomly) instead of 1 short stop over in Paris we were taken Newcastle - Amsterdam - Madrid then to Havana turning it into a 24 hour + travel day instead of 10 + hours. They clearly prioritised profits over customer satisfaction. The only airline equally as bad is KLM and there was no shock to find out these are the same company. I have spent the past few years travelling all over the world and this is the only airline that has caused me stress. They don’t bother honouring any extras paid for or special meal preferences (vegetarian options selected and confirmed at online check in but no information passed on to flight crew) the customer service is non existent and I am happy that I’ll never fly with them again.

🆘 My experience with Air France has…

🆘 My experience with Air France has been absolutely unacceptable.I paid for a Business Class ticket and trusted their service, yet my baggage never arrived. The worst part is the complete lack of responsibility and coordination from their team.My bag was supposed to be transferred from Toronto to Paris, then forwarded to Vienna, but Air France simply failed to send it. I am now stuck without my essential items while traveling with my one month old baby and my wife. The tracking system is incorrect and confusing, customer service gives different answers every time, and no one seems capable of providing a real update. For an airline that claims to be “premium”, the service is unbelievably poor. This situation has ruined my trip, wasted my time, and caused unnecessary stress for my family.I will never trust Air France again and I strongly advise others to avoid this company if they value their time, money and safety.

Inept, unhelpful and lazy - the AirFrance Experience

They lost my bag, okay this happens, but it was a priority piece of luggage, I had paid through the teeth for business class, I was promised delivery of my bag 24 hours after my flight has landed, it has now been 3 days and I'm pretty sure they've not even found my bag, which is weird because it can only be in one of two places. I'm assuming they managed to get it on the plane from my first airport (Manchester) and lost it somewhere in that hellhole CDG. Their customer service is non existent, they use forms which don't update and call service people who are as useful as chocolate teapots telling me that "Yeah, we have no idea where your baggage could be". What was the point of labelling it priority if you're just going to leave it in France when I'm only on holiday for a week, and normally I wouldn't mind if it was just clothes, but I have travelled half way around the world to see my sick mother, with Christmas gifts and things of sentimental value within my luggage just for these inept idiots to shaft me, lose my baggage, and provide not a single ounce of effort to rectify their mistake. I did my part, I checked in ahead of time, I packed light (15kg out of 32kg), I had all my details provided, and the ONE thing I trusted them to do, they couldn't even be arsed to do that properly. I would highly recommend that wherever possible you do not use this godforsaken airline, and if you do, make sure you have anything valuable your carry on, and at least a few changes of clothes.

Now a budget airline charging luxe prices

Are yall going bankrupt!? Steadily always changing policies that only benefit the airline, NEVER honor their customers miles, make up policies on the fly, charge for EVERY LITTLE THING like a budget airline, SHITTY airport customer service across the board. I have been a LOYAL frequent flyer for years. I will not book any family members flights home to France with AF ever again. DO BETTER!!!!

Well Hello

Bad experience. I usually fly KLM, with great satisfaction: staff is courteous and polite, in cabin temperature is pleasant and not too hot. If it is hot, a request is met with friendly willingness to adjust. NOT with Air France Hop. Unfortunately my route in the winter has seen KLM planes replaced by Air France Hop. Staff is rude most of the time and the cabin is boiling. 25+ degrees. Today, November 27th, it was 30 degrees Celsius on board. I recently bought a thermometer thingy and have the photos to prove it. When I asked staff if it was possible to lower the temperature slightly as it was very warm on board, she sneered at me that the cabin temperature is completely normal, so no. It was a horrendous sauna of a flight, with other passengers taking off their shirts and coats, but the 2 young stewardesses were happy at punch in the hot cabin, even disrespectfully laughing at each other when passing my chair. Very expensive flight tickets, very unpleasant flight with rude staff.
