I love this app and platform. It's like having a real conversation with a native speaker language coach. I get corrections and explanations, prompts to repeat phrases correctly, and have genuinely engaging chats. My Spanish has improved so much in a short time. Every once in a while, there is a tech glitch, but it really seems like the Langua team is on top of it and always working on improving the experience. Highly recommend!
When I first came across this app I was pleasantly surprised by its very usable AI conversational ability. It worked well and it became part of my language learning.
A few months later and I now find it absolutely stunning as a result of a couple of new needs I had.
1. I am learning Spanish using the 'comprehensible input' methodology as espoused by Dreaming Spanish amongst others. As part of that I have reached the stage of immersion where I need to be engaged in conversation with a Spanish speaker where they speak Spanish and I reply in English (called cross talk). With no effort at all, Langua was happy to assist!
2. I recently had to deliver my first business presentation speech in Spanish. I asked Langua to assist (assuming that it couldn't possibly work) and it utterly surprised me. It went through the speech with me, speaking a sentence at a time then listening to my replies and providing detailed comments on my pronunciation. Maybe not quite as good as an attentive human being for sure but incredibly usable and much more patient!
I'm certain the app will support my language learning for many years to come!
P.S. I have tried many many language apps and settled on one or two that genuinely impact my learning. Langua is one of them

I have been using this service for two months and would give it an A grade. There have been a few hiccups, but overall it surpasses my expectations. There are numerous options for speaking practice. The voices are realistic and not unsettling like some other AI programs. You can utilize built-in scenarios or provide your own. I appreciate the genuine effort from the team to assist language learners. They are transparent about their future plans and receptive to feedback. Highly recommend!
This app is fantastic, especially for those who struggle with speaking confidence. While I can read at a B2 level, anxiety often makes speaking challenging. The friendly AI tutors have significantly helped me build my confidence in a low-pressure environment, available 24/7! I appreciate the clear corrections for my mistakes, and the grammar and vocabulary sections are very helpful. During my class break, this app has been perfect for maintaining daily practice. Despite a few minor issues, it’s an excellent tool with responsive customer support.
About six months ago, I took an online quiz that placed me at an A2 level in Italian. Today, another quiz showed I have progressed to a solid B1 level. I dedicate 30 minutes to two hours daily to studying Italian since February. While I’m not fluent yet, I’m making great strides thanks to this service! I am at an intermediate level in Portuguese. This is the third AI application I’ve used, and it stands out as the most comprehensive, intuitive, and effective one. There are various methods to approach learning. Watching videos and reviews helped me a lot before purchasing. I love it—it effectively meets the main goal of facilitating conversation.
This product is extremely disappointing. It feels like a flawed interface over a pre-existing language model, and they charge a subscription for it. I despise it. They even attempted to flag my review for 'defamatory content.' Instead of addressing the issues, they seem more focused on suppressing negative feedback. If it took two years to develop this product and it still has so many bugs, that reflects poorly on the team. My review history is irrelevant; attacking my character shows a lack of valid counterarguments. It's crucial to acknowledge both positive and negative feedback.
