This meditation has helped me to patiently “reset” when something goes wrong, to relax and ask my horse again for what I want, calmly and patiently, with clear expectation. And that leads to an increase in confidence. I also find that at any point in my ride, as soon as I hear “That’s right ” in my head, my whole body relaxes and my mare immediately responds. There are some days when I relax deeply into the meditation and others when my mind darts in and out, but the cumulative effect of doing it regularly has been really helpful to my mental and physical state while riding.
Hypno-Ride is awesome! After just my first few meditations using it, I noticed I was beginning to look forward to riding my horse again. I had been in such a negative anxious rut, dreading lessons, feeling like I would never be able to be the decent effective rider that my horse deserved. I feel it's helping me get over my lack of confidence in myself and I'm finding my enjoyment and try again! The power of hypnosis, meditation, and visualization is very real. Thank you for putting this in a format for equestrians!
My show nerves were getting so bad that I was not enjoying showing and dreaded going. These products have completely changed my show experience. I now actually look forward to a show. I really enjoyed using hypno-ride to improve my focus and confidence in the show ring! A really great tool for competitive riders! The only thing I will say is that it is pretty long and takes up some time to do the hypno-ride, so it would be great to have a shorter version. Overall definitely recommend trying hypno-ride.
I started with no experience in dressage, I did not even know how to tack English. I began with a couple lessons here and there and than I really began to take an interest. 6 months into riding I felt that I was ready to see what a show was like and began training but nothing really prepares you for what happens at a show. So I was referred to Hypno-Ride. At first I was skeptical. How could listening to a recording help me prepare for this show? I thought. The first time I listened to it was a couple hours before a lesson. On my way to the lesson I felt a sense of ease and it continued that way all through the lesson. At first I thought maybe we just had a really good day, that night I dreamed about being in a competition. Everyday for a week I listened to that recording and then the day of the competition arrived. Mind you I still have no idea what to expect, we show up unload my horse and take a walk around. It had been raining like crazy so the track was muddy. There were lots of riders around some older some younger regardless I was intimidated. As the nerves built up I went and got my pony tacked and warmed up. I took my last warm up lap before I heard the bell and my stomach dropped. I took a deep breath and before I knew it we were standing in-front of the judges and my pattern was done. Like anyone who is a first timer I felt like I did a horrible job, my pony spooked, I was off on my post but I didn’t care because we finished. That day I walked away with a blue ribbon. I went from knowing nothing to dressage and having little to no confidence to walking away with my first blue ribbon. Now I am not saying it was a perfect win, I have many more rides and lots more Hypno-Ride recordings to listen to before I can call my riding perfect. If you think you are missing something in your riding I guarantee you it’s this!
This guided meditation is a fantastic way to promote self talk, turning doubts into confidence and inspiration. It has helped me through those times where my horse and I got “stuck” at a point in our training so that we can learn and move forward together. I highly recommend it as part of a routine training program!
I found the guided visualizations helped a lot to improve my riding. You can't be on the horse all the time! But you can imagine being on the horse lots of times. It really does work to ride the test in your mind, and then try it on the horse.
