I have the app for hypertension. While I appreciate the company giving me a blood pressure cuff and scale, the app itself is pretty useless. I've been taking my blood pressure every day for a month, all the app does is tell me whether my blood pressure is within my normal range. I had to go to another app to learn that my range is between normal and hypertension 2. It has "daily" check-ins but the app rushes through them so you complete them in 3 or 4 days despite the app giving assignments like pay attention to your sodium today. The AI coach is pretty useless to, it checks your activity and food on opening, but if you try to do something else, like do a paired bp reading, it starts over as if you hadn't already discussed activity and food. The app is not ready for hypertension management.
It's a great concept but you will get more by chatting with any AI LLM. Just too many issues. For example, for the last two days I added activity (90 minutes on a treadmill and 90 minutes on a bike) and it will say I didn't do anything lol. It can't get into specifics well. It will ask you what you had for a meal and when you give it data, it makes incorrect assumptions and the opportunity to fix its errors are subpar. I feel it will get there but will take time. Yup ;-)

They are just collecting money from BCBS without fulfilling the items promised. I'm a diabetic and was promised a complimentary smart scale, glucometer, and health coach. After downloading the app, the health coach was AI and useless. After several months, I still had not received the smart scale or glucometer. I emailed them but never received a response. I finally deleted the app today.
tried this for several months. I was offered the Lark program by my health insurance to address hypertension, which I don't actually have. I am on a blood pressure med for a different issue and apparently that is what triggered my eligibility but I could stand to lose a few pounds so thought I'd give it a try. It was completely ridiculous, with the app encouraging me to take action to lower my BP which is actually very low, with or without the med I am on. The constant check-ins and the pre-determined responses were just frustrating.
Buggy, useless app with an even worse "coach" that is nothing but a poorly designed ai chat bot that only works on prompts given to you. I wouldn't recommend the app to anyone. The only reason I HAVE to use it is because im forced to by my insurance or risk losing coverage for medication.
Because of my unique challenges to food due to allergies, I was looking forward to some help from the "coach". It's not really a coach. You can not ask questions. It only supplies the answers that it wants. It also stated that I had a condition that I answered "no" to. I really need help navigating how to get the nutrition I need with my allergies and this was a waste of time.Response to response: I did contact the Lark support team and was told they only offer the AI self answering coach even though on your information page on the insurance company's website it states coach by phone. I guess the AI self answering text messages counts as phone. IDK.
Love the scale but the application is awful. Incomprehensible as to logging food as you can essentially put any food in and it will tell you you ate a good meal. Not sure that makes sense. They need to completely revamp food logging as it really is terrible. Look I'm not paying anything for it. My insurance is but to be honest I don't know how much longer I'm going to tolerate logging food when this app just simply doesn't work well.
This is honestly the worst and most humiliating "health coach" - I eat a mostly plant based diet, with tons of veggies, fruits, whole grains, very little meat and oils other than olive or sesame, lots of good fermented stuff like Kimchi having Korean family, and this coach is constantly guilting me about incredibly healthy meals. "you got a good amount of fruits and veggies, but you got some carbs". I literally eat mostly fresh food, very little processed junk and I was doing fine losing weight on my own without this, my insurance covered it for me for free so I thought I would give it a go, with the free scale as an enticement. It won't sync with my Garmin watch, which was crazy expensive and a gift from my husband, and I refuse to replace it with my old fitbit. Not happy with the AI bot treating me like a baby who doesn't know that veggies are good for me.
