This is an excellent course to take. I don't normally trust anyone or anything over the internet, but this course is the real deal. Linda is legitimate, and she genuinely cares to see you succeed. That's not to say that this is an easy course; you will learn a lot. I am a very visual learner, and I was afraid I would struggle in this course because of that. But the course is broken down just like a puzzle. So just go piece by piece until you get to the end, and you will see the bigger picture. It is worth it.
I recently completed the Legal Transcription course at LearnToTranscribe.com and I couldn’t be more happy with the experience. The numerous depo and hearing practice files were especially helpful. Those real-world cases gave me a much better understanding of legal transcription and court procedures.One thing I truly appreciated was Linda's support throughout the course. Her feedback was prompt, constructive, and encouraging -- she really helped build my confidence. Since completing the course, I believe I'm ready to take on legal transcription projects. Looking back to the night I made the decision to take a chance and enroll in Linda's course. I mean, I had taken bigger risks before in my life for less, right? Did I ever hit the lottery. I received an opportunity in an industry that aligned with my personal talents, an online course that delivered EXACTLY what it promised, AND then some! And as a bonus, a friend and mentor in Linda, who, still to this day, Zooms with me and supports me every time I need her. And by the way, I graduated in October of 2023, and have been full time in the workforce ever since.Just a few thoughts after 9 months in the industry… Taking into consideration we use technology, computers, software, and electronic equipment, you can naturally expect an everchanging industry. And with that, we too must be everchanging. In a post-pandemic world, ourselves, as well as systems around us, are evolving every day. Adaptation and learning are part of daily operations. And if you have personal skills that fit within the scope of this work, you can have a very blossoming career. But it won't be easy, and you will have to work for it. You WILL get what YOU put into it. If you want to take a stagnant online course for Legal Transcription with zero growth within the industry, then this course isn't for you. In this course, you will evolve every day, live as changes are happening within the industry. And with a growing student body at a nationally accredited academy by AAERT, these updates and changes will prepare you for what it's like when you join the workforce. I purchased this course because a friend of mine recommended it. I am an adult learner who struggled with school when I was younger. I was pregnant with my second son when I started this course. Because of the flexibility of learning, I was able to complete it with having another child and also struggling with postpartum anxiety.I was not the easiest to teach. I have ADHD and my own ways of learning, but with Linda's expertise and patience I was able to make it to the other side. I am stunned by the knowledge and attention to detail Linda has. She really sets you up for success and also making you laugh along the way. I would recommend this course to anyone, it is organized and particular! Thank you Linda for everything!
This is a long due review! I graduated from the course on September 2023 and was encouraged to leave a review upon graduation. I decided to wait and see how far the course would take me, and then I completely forgot about it. After all this time, I can tell you with great certainty that taking the course has impacted my life in a great manner. The course is self-paced, so you learn at your own rhythm, which for me was great since I'm a stay-at-home mom; I could just pick up the course whenever I had free time. With my limited time, it took me about six months to graduate. I find the course to be very informative and well-structured, and if you take it seriously, you will definitely succeed in the field. After completing the course, I was referred to an agency, where I'm still working to this day. I also took the initiative to reach out to a couple of agencies on my own, who took me in as well, now I am quite the busy bee! Obviously, how much money you make depends on how many hours you put into it, accuracy, and how fast you're able to type. I'm very thankful for finding this course and all the knowledge I was able to obtain from it. I earn my own income from home, giving me the ability to care for my children, something that, to me, is priceless.
I have been a CART/Captioner for almost seven years and was looking to get into transcription for additional work, but I needed a refresher in punctuation. A colleague highly recommended Linda’s lectures. I spoke with Linda on the phone, and she explained everything thoroughly and led me in the right direction regarding which courses would best fit my needs. She knew I would not need the beginner's course since I already had the equipment and captioning experience behind me. I took Punctuation for Legal Transcripts, Law Enforcement Transcription, and Podcast Transcription. The modules are jam-packed with downloads I can keep for future reference, including templates. Not to mention, after completing a course, the modules are still available to me online. All the audio exercise material was actual interviews or phone calls and not scripted. Anytime I had a question or asked to review a transcript I made, she answered and gave me feedback right away. I picked up my first transcript job, and the agency told me, “This transcript looks wonderful!” At that moment, I knew I had done the right thing by taking these refresher courses. Each module is self-paced, and I completed them within three weeks. Prices vary, but they are very, very affordable!
I took the Legal Transcription Training with Paid Apprenticeship Opportunity course and can confidently say that it was money well spent! The course is very detailed with a lot of resources and notes. If I did have a question, I got a response in a timely manner. I really appreciate Linda and her training method. She gave a lot of opportunities to learn by doing which is how I learn well. I was previously in accounting and had zero transcribing practice but was able to learn and pass!
I came across Learn to Transcribe from someone online and just decided to see what it was about. It caught my attention from the start! I decided to enroll and was introduced to Linda the Instructor. I loved how they have payments plans for the course I wanted to take which gives you the paid apprenticeship at the end because that really helped with my current income. Linda provides you with all of the information and tools you will need to be successful and really dedicates a lot of her time to helping her students. She is an amazing instructor and is really easy to talk to (which is not the case for a lot of courses for anything, really.) I quickly realized that this was FINALLY a career I would NEVER get bored in, and I am so excited to become immersed in it. It's a lot to learn, that's for sure, but if you're really dedicated and want something that you can work for yourself with, then this is exactly what you need. You just have to dedicate the time, not rush, and trust yourself and Linda, and you will succeed.
