Having looked at the Governments generous grants for Heat Pump systems and been approved for the money,I decided it was not the right thing for me and cancelled.Whilst thinking about changing my very old and reliable Potterton boiler I decided to check out what would be the best modern and economical boiler on the market.I went on a comparison online site and was given 4 plumbing companies to try.I contacted Lewken and spoke to the owner Jamie about my requirements and reason for renewing a boiler that was still working well after possibly 40 years.Everything does have a life but I wanted something that would be efficient and last.He recommended Vaillant as being in his experience a really good boiler and asked if he could send his own surveyor Ivan to inspect the property and get a quote arranged for me.Ivan arrived at the appointed time and did a thorough check and advised that the new Vaillant Eco Tec Plus would be the suitable for my house as it had a Stainless Steel Heat Exchanger which is needed for a house with Water Softener. This was the expertise I wanted to hear.I placed an order with Jamie and told him he could choose any suitable time to do the installation whilst the weather was fine and boiler not in use.I was given a date for the closest engineer to do the installation and it was Dan who turned up on time and carried out a very professional job without any interference to the running of the house.The system was hot flushed and a particle filter fitted in line. The system was run up to temperature and all radiators checked.I would have no hesitation in recommending Lewken for your new boiler without fear they would overcharge.Well done the Lewken team and I wish you much success.
