Predatory company, scammy

Easy process to get loan. Very unprofessional customer service. I missed a payment and immediately went to make payment arrangements and was told they don't care about personal issues. Got harassed with phonecalls, texts and emails. Made the arrangements to e-transfer on a certain day. Made the payment. Sent confirmation. And they still withdrew payment they were supposed to cancel because of arrangements. Now they won't get back to me and I can't even access their website.

While I admit things got messed up with payments on my end, their "collection" process is ridiculous. They will call over and over and over. They called my work, which I understand, but wouldn't let me speak, called me stupid and a liar, among other things, then rather then taking an arrangement for the payment continued to call me on my work line over and over, hanging up when I picked up or calling me more names then hanging up, just to call again. I have a log of 25+ calls in a row. Also they will claim these aren't practices they employ, but the calls to my work are all recorded, so I have the proof. Even if there are no issues with payments their emails are often 1 line and snotty, trying to get an account statement takes multiple emails and when you finally get it their email with it is nasty. Customer service is definitely not a priority. Legal collection practices are not a priority. The only thing these guys want is money.

Non stop harrassing, horrible customer service.

Stay away from these crooks. They non-stop harass you, phone you, email you, text you multiple times even though you made arrangements with them. They are rude and they are crooks

When I received the funding the security question was “company name?” I entered LebertyLoans500 which is the company name. Didn’t work. Then I entered Liberty Loans. Didn’t work and I was locked out. I asked them to resend it and they said I had to wait for it to be returned to them to resend. Customer service representative wasn’t interested in appeasing there customer they just got puppy and rude and tried blaming the customer. Terrible customer service. Probably the worst ever

RUN!!! DO NOT GET INVOLVED - NO MATTER HOW DESPERATE

This company is the absolute worst. All their reviews are fake or bought and paid for. Please please for your own sake, don’t make the same mistake I did, and sort the comments from most recent and you will see how common their negative reviews are since they started operating under this name. It appears they have operated under several names in the past and start a new company name once too many bad reviews pile up. I was a great customer, had made my first three payments on time and as scheduled. On my fourth payment, they took TWO payments from me and REFUSED to return the second payment. I advised them that I was on an extremely tight budget and by them not returning the payment, it would cause multiple bills of mine to bounce, resulting in multiple NSF fees I could not afford. I also advised them by incurring these NSF fees, I would not be able to make my final payment on time because it put me behind. Yet, they continued to try and withdraw the next payment causing me another NSF fee. Had they not taken TWO payments on my scheduled 4th payment, or returned the additional payment they took, everything would have been fine and I would have been able to make all 6 payments as per the scheduled agreement. Not only did they break our payment schedule by taking 2 payments on the 4th payment period, they also charged me NSF return fees on their end of $65 for when they tried to withdraw the final payment. Despite me advising them that payment would no longer be doable because of the $165 bank NSF fees in incurred because of them taking two payments and causing other bills of mind to bounce. Then began the RELENTLESS harassment. These people are next level and extremely rude and nasty. I then received an email from them advising that if I sent them my final 6th payment, my account would be resolved in full and closed. I agreed to send them the final payment so that my account would be resolved and I would no longer have to deal with them. After sending the payment, I asked them to send me a release letter advising my account was paid in full and closed. They then advised that they would not close my account unless I sent them an additional $125 (essentially holding me hostage). It was a stupid mistake on my part to not get the letter in advance of sending the final payment; however, I do have two emails from them confirming resolution of my account if the final payment was sent but now I have to do the leg work to get it resolved Finally, after looking into the numbers on their Statement of Accounts that they send you biweekly and our contract agreement, I realized the numbers didn’t add up and I had already overpaid them $94 over the agreed upon loan repayment amount (which was already very very high). Please for your own good, look elsewhere. There are tonnssss of other companies out there. Going with Liberty will be your biggest mistake. Even if you do pay all your payments on time like I did/was, you have no way of knowing if one week they will need extra money and will just withdraw multiple amounts from your account and not offer any solutions or compensation for the hardship that caused you. They know if your someone coming to them borrowing $500 at such a high interest rate, you cannot afford an additional unexpected payment of almost $150 without it causing major issues to you budgeting. But that’s what they want. So that you can mess up you payment schedule with them and they can charge you these $65-70 fees for missed/returned payments which earns them more money. So trust me, this is something they are doing on purpose and will likely not stop.

BAD BUSINESS WITH FAKE REVIEWS

It would take me a lifetime to explain to you all the reasons why you should not trust this company and should you take a loan with them, you will end up in far worse a position than you are currently in. They cheat, lie and steal (YES). Even if you make all your payments on time and as agreed, they will withdraw additional unauthorized amounts or even refuse to release you from the loan agreement unless you pay them even more than the agreed upon terms. They know they hold all the cards here and that their industry is not regulated so they can basically behave however they want to and then change their company name when things get too hot for them. They don’t even have an address anywhere on the internet, website or email signature line. Which tells you right there that they are not to be trusted. They don’t give an address because they want to make it difficult for people to sue them. So basically I had to notify my workplace and family as to what was going on, show them all the documentation and now I have to go through the long and arduous process of a lawsuit as well as other measures in order to get released from a loan that I have not only paid for in full, but overpaid it. Please save yourself this headache. Luckily I have people around me to assist with this effort, but not everyone does. Additionally, 90% of their 5 star reviews are FAKE. Do you research and just click on the user name profile leaving the review and you will see that some are leaving multiple positive reviews for Liberty and all of their other reviews are for related payday loan companies or company names Liberty used to operate under. A lot of these fake accounts are shared amongst different payday loan companies. Most normal trustpilot reviewer accounts have either 1 or 2 random reviews (that are usually negative as only a bad experience would push someone to leave one) or accounts with multiple reviews left for unrelated companies in various fields (because these are the types of people that enjoy leaving reviews on a regular basis). You will see this is the case by looking at other random companies and the reviewer profiles associated with them. I am sure Liberty will reply to this review stating something outrageous that I will not be able to respond to.
