Review Time
It was great at first, but slowly, it stopped being an "automatic" litter box. Now, it will not automatically dump the feces and urine. I have to reset it, and cycle it manually....... I guess it's better than pulling out the scooper. Still not what I paid for though...
UNLESS YOU HAVE SEVERAL BIG MALE CATS AND EVEN THEN , THE LITTER ROBOT IS AN ABSOLUTE WASTE OF MONEY. I HAVE TWO FEMALE SCOTTISH FOLDS. I GOT THE LITTER ROBOT 5(I THINK) 18 MONTHS AGO. THANK GOD I LEFT OUT A LITTER BOX BECAUSE THEY ARE USING THE LITTER ROBOT LESS AND LESS. IT COST ME WHEN ALL DONE, OVER $1200. TOTAL GIMMICK. THE SENSORS ALWAYS NEED TO BE CLEANED( I CLEAN IT DAILY). IT GOES OFFLINE ALL THE TIME AND BETWEEN CHANGING THE BAGS THE FILTERS, ITS A PAIN IN THE ASS. IF YOU DONT MIND SCOOPING OUT A LITTER BOX KEEP $1000+ IN YOUR WALLET, PLUS THE COST OF FILTERS, BAGS. TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY, TIME AND EFFORT!!! SO MUCH FASTER AND EASIER WITH A LITTER BOX. I HAVE 2 STAINLESS STEEL LITTER BOXS AND MY GIRLS COULDNT BE HAPPIER. EVERYONE I KNOW WHO HAS CATS ADVISED NO TO GET THE LITTER ROBOT A) VERY EXPENSIVE TO BUY AND PRODUCTS B) I HAVE 2 SISTERS LITTE FEMALE SCOTTISH FOLDS, MAYBE FOR LARGE CATS OR MORE THAN 2 OR 3 CATS ITS OK. BUT IF YOUR GONNA BUY ANY TYPE OF ELECTRIC LITTER BOX STICK WITH THE LITTER ROBOT. I NEVER, EVER GO CHEAP WITH MY BABIES. I WILL SAY THAT THE LITTER ROBOT WAS VERY RELIABLE EVEN THOUGH ITS EXPENSIVE. I DONT BUY OR USE ANYTHING CHEAP OR CRAPPIE WHEN IT COMES TO MY BABIES. THE LITTER ROBOT IS TOP QUALITY AS FAR AS THE SAFETY AND OVERALL MACHINE. IT JUST WASNT FOR ME
I purchased the litter robot 5 pro around Thanksgiving 2025. Customer service has been great helping me through a few issues that I had been experiencing. I had a few laser sensor errors but customer service has helped me every time I asked. Every person that I've talked to at customer service on the phone has been very pleasant to talk with and had logical answers. I feel whisker is still working on a few bugs in their software but they have been right there to explain what's happening. I have been satisfied with their response.
A week or so ago Jason with customer service decided it would be best for me to receive a brand new litter robot 5 pro. He shipped it out and I received a few days later. After I got the litter box pro 5 I packed up my old unit and put it in the box so that Federal Express could pick it up and return it to the factory.
Usually customer service is not this snap-on like they are at whisker and litter robot. The few bugs they're still working out should be corrected once they do another firmware update I think that's going to happen February 2026 so it should be pretty soon. I can't wait until the litter Hopper is released so I can add it to my robot. My cat Beau started using the litter robot within the first 24 hours after I got it around Thanksgiving so I'm sure he's happy and I know my wife's excited that she doesn't need to scoop anymore.

The support team responds quickly, usually within 12 hours on weekdays after an email, which is incredibly helpful and appreciated. Additionally, if my device or accessories are worn out or not functioning properly, they will send a replacement and may ask for the defective item back, which seems fair. I can't express enough how positive my experience has been with them. It truly makes the investment in the device worthwhile.
I've been a customer since 2021. I ordered a high-end automated litter box and immediately encountered problems. After trying two used bases and one power cord, it finally functioned properly. I then decided to upgrade to a newer model. After waiting 8 days for delivery, I set it up and it seemed fine at first. However, when I attempted to cycle it, I was greeted with a black screen—completely unresponsive! This is incredibly frustrating for such a pricey product. It should operate without any problems. I'm awaiting a replacement, but if it doesn't work perfectly, I will no longer engage with this company.
I’ve been a member for six months, and every time I place an order, they fail to meet their delivery promises. Packages are consistently delayed. I wouldn’t recommend purchasing from this service, as it has not worked well for me.
My service rep was amazing. He took his time to help me get my robot working again and helped me rest the internet. Just to let you know this is the 9 th robot we have bought. We had 4 of the old grey ones. That we still use 2. 3 connect 3. And now 2 of the connect 4. Thank you
