Review Time
While the cakes themselves were excellent, I was disappointed with the delivery experience. Despite paying a premium for a specific delivery window and requesting an early drop-off within that time, the cake arrived right at the end of the window. We had to take it to the party ourselves, and the delay meant we were late—by which time guests had already started to arrive.I was previously told that our delivery could potentially be prioritised on the day, but when I called to follow up, I was told this was unlikely. Customer service was responsive and polite, but I feel a more genuine effort could have been made to liaise with the delivery team and accommodate our situation. Unfortunately, it didn’t feel like that happened.
I ordered a Lemon and Raspberry Cake for a 1st anniversary party. It was collection at a collection point which was done on time and packaging was perfect, I wasn't sure about the size when I ordered, but it was perfect for the amount of people at the party and everyone loved the cake. As one guest stated "You can't go wrong with Lola's ".
Not only are there cakes the perfect centrepiece for a celebration, but the customer service is the reason I have used them for every family birthday for many years. Their loyalty club also offers points and a free birthday cupcake 🧁
