Review Time
I've invested in my second set of Luxreaders glasses - invested because they're far from the cheapest 'readers'. But my new ones don't quite seem to be as well made as the old ones - particular signs of cost-cutting around the hinges and the finish is different, too - more of a matt finish (although I bought exactly the same glasses). Still better than other readers, but let's see how the new ones last...
The quality is very poor. The lifespan of these glasses is 6-12 months. The hinges keep failing. Not good for reading glasses where you take them on and off. I have repeated my order four times over three years until I finally found a similar company whose glasses have lasted. I’m giving a 2 star review for the design only.
I had a pair of glasses where the arm had come away. Contacted Lux Readers and a replacement pair was with me within 4 days. Excellent communication. I have use Lux Readers on several occasions and the service has always been exceptional except for one occasion where due to Royal Mail, my glasses apparently travelled the country after arriving in the UK from Denmark two days after order. They are my go to company for Reading Glasses.

We’ve many years of experience from the optical industry and have therefore closely monitored how the market for reading glasses is largely driven by gas stations, supermarkets and the like. These businesses focus to a large extent on low prices, high margins and preferably a high frequency of repurchases when customers' vision has to be corrected. The result is bad and ugly reading glasses in poor quality. We want to change that!
