Our senior dog Yumi has not only enjoyed the taste and variety of Lyka meals, but we have seen significant improvements in her mobility and energy levels! She has much less inflammation, virtually NO bloating (which was constant on any kibble) and often plays during the day for the first time in years. Yumi has been on lyka for 5 months now and the improvements in her are very clear. Highly recommend switching for your puppy. Wish this was an option for her sooner - grateful ☺️ she can experience Lyka now.
Milly is a Frugg, she was struggling with itching and her coat was corse and she shedded so much. After trying so many different things, from special shampoo to skincare to no avail, my daughter recommended Lyka. After only a couple of weeks her coat improved and she was not itching as much. I thought it was just a coincidence, so I stopped Lyka for a month and within a few weeks her coat became corse and she started scratching and chewing her paws again. I have just reordered it again. I would highly recommend Lyka to any pet owner!
My dogs are my family so I need them to enjoy and crave menus and tastes just like humans demand, and finally I found a company that can give that, lyka! My dogs point at the eating patio glass doors when hungry, and after a few days of lyka food away from local food, much more patio pointing happening :-), especially after a long walk... And to date, no leftovers uneaten plates so far. Then after that unconscious sleeping like happy babies. My order was delivered on a warm day and left in direct sunlight. I arrived home around 20 minutes later. I had been assured it would remain frozen for hours, so after such a short period it should still have been completely frozen — it wasn’t, it was partially thawed already.
I don’t have a shaded area suitable for temperature-sensitive deliveries, and I imagine many households are in the same position. If the product cannot reliably withstand standard residential delivery conditions, that should be made very clear upfront.
Based on the feeding guide, my dog would require 1kg per day. As the food comes in 500g pouches, that’s two pouches per day per dog. With two Labradors, that’s four pouches per day. At roughly $7 per pouch on the discounted pricing, that comes to $28 per day, or $196 per week, the ongoing cost is extremely high. It also requires a significant amount of freezer space — two weeks’ supply for two dogs would be 56 pouches, which takes up a substantial portion of a standard household freezer.
I also felt pressured to complete the order over the phone, which didn’t allow much time to properly assess whether the product suited our needs. After reading other reviews, it appears that entering the competition results in follow-up sales calls as part of the terms and conditions. If that is the case, it would be more transparent to make it clear that the competition functions as a sales lead process rather than a simple prize entry.
During the sales call, I was also enrolled into a subscription model. While subscriptions are common, I did not feel I had adequate time to properly review the full terms and cancellation conditions before committing, as the call was focused on completing the sale. For a recurring financial commitment of this size, clearer upfront transparency and space to review the details would have been appreciated.
Overall, the experience did not meet expectations.
I love the ease and convenience of Lyka. It is so good and Ziggy loves the food. It has made a big difference to his gut health as he was suffering from constipation and or diarrhoea constantly. Now we don't have those problems. I think it is good value for money for peace of mind that our dog is eating well balanced healthy meals.
My pooch is undergoing an ellimination diet due to a skin condition and lyka were able to provide advice relating to this. I was really happy he was able to have the goat protein during this process and not just boring old biscuits.
The lyka team always respond promptly to any query.
Bella absolutely loves her new food. She is a very fussy eater and has no trouble finishing her Lyla meal.
I’m very happy with the quality of the meals and I know she is getting all the nutrients she requires in her diet. 😃
Since signing up for Lyka they have been so easy to deal with.
They send me an email before every delivery and I can change the delivery date and the menu items. They send another email the day before the money comes out so it’s easy to change anything. The meals are great quality and delivered in bio degradable packaging. Couldn’t be happier and Trixie loves them.
We’ve only just started our Toy Poodle on Lyka a week ago but so far so good. Immediately seeing a huge improvement in our dogs fussiness. He is devouring the Lyka compared to being so ridiculously fussy, it’s a very welcome change.
We chose Lyka for the health benefits and the variety of choices for both our dogs as they were starting to get a little bit fussy with the food we were giving them. They can’t wait to get their Daly morning in the afternoon of Lyka. So easy with it being portion control and being frozen for a long time get a month supply at a time and take out every three days worth of food as in generally thaws in the fridge overnight. Best decision we have made for the dogs in a long time. We are recommending to friends and family for its ease and value for money.
