Absolutely unacceptable experience with Mattress.ie.
I was promised delivery within 10 days. That deadline passed with zero communication from the company. I had to contact them myself via chat just to find out what was happening with my order. I was then told it would be delivered the following week.
After that, I received an email confirming delivery for the next day, stating clearly that the driver would call one hour before arrival. To ensure I would be home, I took a full day off work — losing income — just to receive the mattress.
No one showed up. No phone call. No missed call. Nothing.
When I contacted them again, they claimed the driver had called and that I didn’t answer. That is completely false. I had absolutely no calls. Instead of properly checking the situation, they blindly sided with the driver and implied that I was lying.
To make matters worse, the attitude from customer service was dismissive and sarcastic, as if this situation was somehow my fault. I lost a day of work for nothing.
I then requested a cancellation and a full refund. They said they would process it — and immediately disconnected the chat. Since then, I have been trying to resolve this issue with no proper solution.
This company shows a serious lack of professionalism, accountability, and basic respect for customers.
Avoid at all costs. Do not waste your time, money, or trust here.

my 4 star review probably seems unusual given the low ratings they get. And I didn't check trust pilot before I purchased. I've given them a 4 star for a few reasons. Firstly, Website is very well put together, user friendly and clear; secondly - price; couldn't be beat elsewhere. Thirdly, and most importantly I completely messed up the order of 5 mattresses and bedframes (I order when I was tired); all the sizes where wrong. Mattress.ie collected them; delivered the new ones and refunded the differences. It took a few weeks but they did sort it out so I will purchase from them again.
Unfortunately I ordered from this company before checking reviews, big mistake. Now that I see tonnes of 1 star reviews, it makes sense. I ordered a folding guest bed, I had phoned in advance to check tjey had it in stock and I'd receive it on time and i was told it would be no problem. I placed the order and 3 days later received a completely different, cheaper bed which I didn't want . They say they will refund the difference, but I'm not so sure they didn't just chance their arm and sent me the cheaper bed. I wouldn't trust them
I was very happy with the delivery driver Nigel! he rang before delivery to confirm my eircode as he had difficulty finding it, he was friendly and professional. He brought in the new mattresses and took away the old with no problems.However, I was a bit disappointed with the response I received when I contacted customer service. Unfortunately, the person who answered the emails didn’t bother to update the eircode even after I pointed out the mistake I made. Hence Nigel (delivery driver) had difficulty. It would be great if future communication could be more attentive to such details. Overall, a good experience with Nigel, but room for improvement in customer support.
I used mattress.ie to purchase a 4ft and a 4ft 6 mattress. I am delighted with my purchase. I only gave 4 stars because it said on site, delivery in seven days but it actually took 3 weeks. Nigel, the delivery man arrived today, he rang beforehand to make sure of eircode and also to check someone would be at home to receive delivery. Nigel was excellent took away the old mattresses and was very courteous and very pleasant, a lovely gentlemanI give him 10 out of 10. Thanks Nigel.I would love if mattress.ie were more intune with the customer and gave updates to inform of delays and answered their emails when a customer is anxious about their order.Laois Customer.
