Steer Clear of This Women's Health Clinic; There Are Superior Alternatives

Steer clear of this Women's Health Clinic; there are better options available. The providers do not pay attention to their patients, and I felt intimidated during my visit. I have never encountered such unprofessional behavior from a provider as I did here. The quality of care has significantly declined.

Multiple negative experiences with the clinic

I’ve faced numerous negative encounters with the doctors and nurses at the facility in Fairmont, MN. A physician failed to fill essential prescriptions when required, and I felt devalued due to my financial situation. This clinic, like many others, seems primarily focused on serving wealthier patients. Additionally, I was prescribed harmful combinations of medications that resulted in serious complications. This experience has made it difficult for me to trust any medical professionals.

Tragic outcome linked to clinic's error

According to my father's death certificate and the clinical notes from the doctors who treated him, a mistake during a routine biopsy led to his passing. A doctor performed an endoscopy and mistakenly biopsied an aortic aneurysm, introducing bacteria into his bloodstream, which resulted in sepsis. After weeks of suffering, he died in hospice care. Communication from the clinic was shockingly poor, with no clear treatment plan offered. Pain management was inhumane, and the doctors abandoned him during his final days. An investigation confirmed that the clinic's care did not meet established healthcare standards. Despite this, the investigation concluded that no procedures were violated, simply stating, 'accidents happen.'

Discrimination based on race and wealth

If you are not white and affluent, it seems the clinic has little interest in providing care. It’s disheartening to witness such blatant discrimination.

Clinic promotes pharmaceutical interests

The facility appears to serve as a mouthpiece for large pharmaceutical companies and the compromised FDA. For instance, there is a natural supplement called Kratom that has helped many overcome opioid addiction, yet the clinic disparages it as if it were a harmful substance. Their stance seems to prioritize pharmaceutical profits over patient well-being.

Questionable statements on cancer treatment

The assertion that sugar is not harmful to cancer patients is perplexing. It’s crucial to engage with the extensive research by various experts who argue otherwise. It's disappointing to see such misleading information shared without considering the broader scientific consensus that highlights alternative dietary approaches that could potentially benefit cancer patients.

Lack of pain management for patients

The clinic only provides pain medications in dire situations, based on my personal experience. After my surgeries and with my ongoing pain, neither my GI nor PCP at the clinic have prescribed any pain relief. Even though I am in significant discomfort, they seem indifferent. My PCP suggests a lengthy program on alternative methods instead of addressing my needs directly, which feels dismissive and frustrating.

Positive experience during a medical emergency

After reading many negative reviews, I was skeptical. However, I had a positive experience during a late-night visit to the emergency room, where I was treated for what I initially thought was a stroke. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the physician was professional and compassionate. Even after leaving, the staff went out of their way to return my belongings. It was a pleasant visit despite the circumstances.

Frustration after months of communication

We reached out to the clinic, hopeful for a treatment option for my father's complex condition. Despite providing all requested information and undergoing additional tests, we were ultimately told that no treatment options could be discussed unless we traveled to the U.S. This contradicts what we were initially told and felt dehumanizing, especially for international patients. The lack of clarity and empathy in their communication was deeply disappointing.

Poor appointment scheduling experience

I initially called to schedule an appointment but was told to expect a call back that never came. After confirming my appointment, I was promised an email with necessary forms, which also never arrived. When I followed up, I was informed that I had no appointment at all. Now, I face a long wait for another opportunity. The experience has been frustrating and unprofessional.
