Installing McAfee is like downloading a virus and a scammer. They constantly send pop-ups, change chrome to Yahoo, and make auto-renewal payments without any notice.

I would not trust them with any of my information or devices.

I'd give it a o if I could. I had it for two days and decided to cancel. Good luck with that. I'm going to write a review every week. My computer is at it's end of life as the say. I'm getting a new one on 02-13-2026. They 50 bucks but no more. I'm going to put a good word in for them at the better business B.

They are trash, it is pay to to win equivilant of a video game. you pay 159.99 for a basic service, then when they find an issue then you need to pay another 30 to 50 bucks to remove that problem, or they find your information online and then you need to pay them to remove that. trash. why would i want a service of 159.99 that doesnt do anything about the problem, it just says I have them.

Aggressive marketing tactics are frustrating

The service employs aggressive marketing tactics, bombarding you with alarming notifications in the bottom right corner of the screen, such as "Your email was found in 2 data breaches"; "We found 200 apps slowing you down"; and "26235 performance issues detected". Each time, they present different prices for various offers. Since I first set up my laptop, they have been trying to alarm me, even though it was a brand new device with no software installed. This clearly indicates the service's questionable practices. I've documented their scare tactics in case I need to reference them later, but they are fully aware of their approach.

UNACCEPTABLE, WILL NOT RENEW

I renewed my subscription on January 4th, 2026, for one year. Today, I received another email stating my subscription has expired! However, my account shows I have over 300 days left and is active. I will not be purchasing from them again.

Unauthorized Charge and Poor Customer Experience

I was charged $182 without my consent for an automatic renewal I never approved. The service was unsatisfactory, and I received no clear notification before the charge. The company's billing practices are misleading and aggressive, relying on hidden auto-renewals and unclear terms to extract money from customers. Customer support is frustrating and difficult to reach, leaving users to manage unauthorized charges on their own. This situation is unacceptable, and I cannot recommend this service to anyone who values transparency or fair billing.

Unauthorized Charge of $182

I was unexpectedly charged $182 for an automatic renewal I did not authorize. The service was inadequate, and there was no prior notification regarding the charge. The company's billing practices are deceptive, relying on hidden auto-renewals and unclear terms to take money from customers. Customer support is frustrating and hard to contact, leaving users to deal with unauthorized charges alone. I cannot recommend this service to anyone valuing transparency and fair billing.

Daily Frustration with Emails

I receive daily emails threatening to delete my pictures and data unless I subscribe. This is infuriating, especially since I have never had an account with them and do not store pictures with them. It’s extremely frustrating.

Refund Process is Frustrating

I was unable to secure a refund after an automatic renewal. The only way to request a refund was by calling support, which I find unacceptable. Cancelling the subscription was already challenging, and getting a refund has been a frustrating process. I would not recommend this service to anyone. Avoid them and do not share your card details.
