I bought 1kg Biogan Cashewnødder i Brud Økologisk, which I purchased online from Mecindo. Mecindo never answered us back and the Biogan did but check this out:
I carefully selected this organic product to prepare homemade plant-based milk for my 4-year-old daughter. However, from the very first use, the cashew pieces had a **strong bitter and rancid taste**, clearly indicating oxidation.
Although we transferred the contents to an airtight glass jar right after opening, the off-taste was present immediately — even when fresh. While the flavor is slightly masked when blended into milk, it is **very noticeable when tasting the nuts directly**.
This is not acceptable for an organic, premium-priced product — especially one intended for children. They replaced the batch but the new ones were absolutely the same!!!!! We were disappointed and concerned, and would appreciate a prompt response or an appropriate refund. Plus, I’ll never be courageous enough to buy another product from this brand.
