This company is a scam if you try to cancel the service. 5 months after cancellation and sending the unit back they are still billing us for the service and the device after admitting that they received both the cancellation and the device back. On top of that they want to take up to 30 days to refund money that they should not have charged in the first place. They are using peoples money in a very questionable manner. Don’t use this service!!
I wish I could give 10 Negative reviews. This is ridiculous. They are taking people’s money!!! Everytime I call there’s a different date that they have started processing my refund. 30 days from this day, 30 days from that day, another 30 days! DO NOT BUY!!! They are scamming people.
I highly recommend you do not purchase anything from Medical Alert. My elderly father purchased a Medical Alert system. After receiving their equipment, we discovered the unit would not charge properly. Further, we discovered some of the features we were told it had, it did not. Both issues were acknowledged by Medical Alert staff. When we originally purchased the equipment in June 2025, they charged my dad's credit card the same day. After returning the equipment less than 2 weeks later, it has taken 8 phone calls and nearly 3 months to receive not quite a full refund. I was informed today they are withholding a $35 restocking fee. Really?!? They are charging a fee to restock their faulty equipment. I hope my review will help other families make an informed decision and cause the Medical Alert staff to re-think how they treat their customers
