Had to give 1 star as zero isnt available. I rang these this morning as the strap to my sons ceiling hoist is fraying. To start with the phone option for hoists is turned off! This company couldnt fix a hoist strap as they have no engineers???? Why are the nhs paying them ? They know my son is out of bed and needs his hoist strap replacing today or the care company will not move him. As an emergency repair company they are rubbish!!!!
I am surprised the nhs gives business to a Company providing such poor service. The nhs ordered handrails and a seat for new shower room. Millfield eventually one hand rail instead of four and a damaged seat and said they would only supply the handrails if they fitted them. Why should Millfield be allowed to decide who fits equipment supplied by the nhs?
Hi really bad service nothing improved after all publicity I was left to use my powered wheelchair fore weeks with the static brake not working the wheelchair was not fit fore purpose and dangerous took weeks to get new batteries don't think they believed me how worne out ones were on wheelchair but again I still had to use it to other wheel chair users don't use wheelchair if not fixed properly so easy to have a accident be careful
Latest update: 20 July 2020: New Mobility Chairbed supplied much higher specification (Occupatioal Therapist intervened and got it sorted, chairbed designed and supplied specifically for sleeping to keep client upright for their chronic bowel disability), Client delighted with the improved comfort. Also agreed that client and delivery person share responsibility for bad communication/attitude. Delivery person not to tell clients how they are "not paying / getting it for free". Previous review: Still no response to the formal complaint - looks like this has to go to consumer rights or some other consumer ombudsman, you can't just leavefrail patients without their chairbed, it is not safe for them to sleep on the floor.
If I could give this company zero stars I would. At a time of incredible stress attempting to get my very poorly father home to a safe environment Millbrook Healthcare have treated us appallingly. We have now waited in the house for 3 days and still our medical equipment has not been delivered nor fitted. When I called to check why no one had arrived today I was treated as though my mother was lying about the phone call she received on Friday to set up today’s appointment. At this point my father can’t come home on Wednesday as the house is not safe after 2 months in hospital we all just want him home. Shame on you Millbrook Healthcare for treating people like this.
Millbrook Southampton / Portsmouth have stood by me during my Cancer and have delivered disability aids to make my life better. There have been delays but I am satisfied that the root cause for those lay elsewhere. 3 members of staff have attended to me during the CV19 crisis and I would like to commend them all.
Shocking lack of care and consideration at the most desperate and stressful of times. Given 4 hour window for delivery but no show. Upon calling Millbrook Healthcare's loosely described "Customer Services" advised actually it will be a 7 hour delivery window. No apology or understanding. Unprofessional and disinterested staff; when asked if a call ahead of time would be received from delivery driver, as is the most basic provision from even the smallest delivery providers, I was advised "might do", when asking then if company procedure was to help customers by just giving a call ahead of time I was told it "might be", simply that only. The only conclusion I can draw from the seriously flawed communication this company presents is that this company having a guaranteed and no doubt lucrative contract from the NHS do not need to make any pretence for caring or any concerns for the medically ill, frail and vulnerable people they are paid to provide a service to. Fortunately, I am none of the above at this time, as supporting my mother and father who are, but I have no idea how anyone can have any faith or confidence in such a poorly run and unprofessional company. Should I personally ever need the benefit of medical equipment then I very much hope my own and the NHS's money will be better spent and a company being run like this may well risk losing their contract. Avoid. Avoid. Avoid.
This company has let us down so many times over the years they give a 4 hour window then just do not turn up, when you call up staff are abrupt and unprofessional The final straw I lost both my parents within two days of each other and had equipment to be picked up which I guess is urgently needed in the current situation I was given a 1 to 5 slot and sat for four hours in my parents house feeling upset, called them four times to be told someone would definitely be there before 5 and when nobody turned up by 6 was told they could not get hold of the person who was supposed to come out and did not know why he had not been This is not the first time this has happened it also happened when my dad was on end of life care and several times previously but thought in the circumstances they would of made a timed appointment or at least turned up
