I love misfits! If there is ever an issue it's taken care of quickly and I love that I can get organic foods at very reasonable prices. I'm able to try new things without having to buy them in bulk.
Last month, a Google search for a hard-to-find item (Featherweight baking powder) led me to Misfits Market. I had to create an account just to see the site, but it turned out they didn't have the item, so I left. A couple of weeks later I got a text that my groceries were about to ship! I went to the site and discovered they had created a whole basket that I never asked for and were about to charge me $71 for it. I got it canceled, but it was a narrow escape. I really don't like being subjected to a ripoff just to check out a site. If they were truly legit they wouldn't do business this way.
I stumbled upon Misfits Market by accident. I was really unhappy with all of the produce that I had been finding in my local stores and I'm not even in a food desert. Misfits may have bruised fruit or unwanted fruit and vegetables but I have yet to come across anything that didn't taste wonderful. It's encouraged me and my husband to eat better and we look forward to our delivery days.
As a customer for five years, I've witnessed a decline in produce quality, with items frequently arriving overripe or spoiled. The delivery service has also significantly worsened in recent months, leading me to stop placing orders. Deliveries have been left outside on busy streets or in unsecured areas. Unlike other services, there has been no effort to use the buzzer system for notifications, preventing deliveries from being brought inside securely.
Today, I received an email receipt for an order from a certain service, but I never signed up with them. To make matters worse, the receipt included someone else's full name and address, which is a significant data protection breach. The address contained a term similar to my email, which is perplexing. I'm not located in the US, but if I were, I would steer clear of this service. I strongly recommend considering carefully before sharing your personal and payment information with such a careless organization.
I have used this delivery service for the past year. The food is excellent, with only a few items unavailable. The app is user-friendly, and customer service is prompt and professional. However, every order has encountered issues. While the boxes are usually intact, the packaging often fails. Meat and fish packages are punctured, spilling juices everywhere. Yogurt and milk containers arrive damaged, creating a mess. I've reached out multiple times, receiving refunds and responses, but no improvements have been made. It saddens me to cancel my membership today.
I placed my order and contacted customer service to give specific delivery instructions, which they assured me were conveyed to the courier. However, upon arrival, the driver had none of the instructions. Luckily, I was home to receive the delivery. Additionally, the packaging was poor; the produce was simply tossed into the box without any bag. The kale was wilted, and the portions of meat were small. I've already canceled my subscription and will not order again.
I was eager to try this service as my partner and I cook from scratch, rarely using canned or bagged items. As seniors who love cooking, we hoped to receive good produce at home. I ordered three items, but two were out of stock. Had I known, I would have canceled the order. The pricing felt deceptive, and while they refunded the shipping after my complaint, the overall experience felt more like a scam than a legitimate business.
The hummus arrived with mold on the surface, and the portion sizes of processed items like yogurt were minuscule. They filled my cart with their selections, overriding my preferences, and billed me without providing a way to rectify this. While their prices may seem good, their business practices are exploitative. After they canceled my order, they also terminated my membership. It feels like they retaliate against customers who voice complaints. I recommend avoiding this service.
Their advertisement claims you can review your cart before being charged, but that was not the case. My membership fee was charged before I completed my order. The products looked subpar, and when I sought a refund, they attempted to negotiate rather than provide a full return. It took considerable time to resolve this issue, and I now have to wait several days for my money back. This feels like a scam.
