SCAM. Fake address, fake bot customer service. I sent an email before ordering asking if it was certified in Canada. Received a response from “Sofia” saying that all their lamps were CSA cUL certified in Canada. Luckily I ordered a test lamp before ordering the 35 I need for a project. Shipping took twice as long as indicated and I received cheap garbage in broken Chinese packaging, a broken lamp inside and definitely not certified. When I emailed back, “Sofia” said they are not certified but all tested to the highest standards. Very clearly AI responses that contradict their previous statements and make no sense like a snake eating its tail.

SCAMMERS!!

Originally contacted them because I was disappointed the color didn't match website. After many back an forth I realized I was never gonna get my money back guaranteed as per website. They refunded me 25% of a 750$ lamp. Fast-forward to today when putting it together (was a 3 level chandelier) on the last screw the mid tier cracked!! So cheap. That's when you over look all the defects in the glass too!! Anyway contacted them again. They replied there's nothing they can do. If you ask me there's nothing they can do, ever! I will also be reaching out to consumer protection to fight against these scammers. *edit: I did contact you. You said there's nothing you can do and stopped answering! Order 2429. *edit 2: don't be fooled by the message below. They contacted be saying again there's nothing they can do. Except offer an undisclosed discount for a future purchased. Which won't happen. I don't even want my money back just replacement of broken piece!!

Before you purchase from MisterLamp Toronto, here's what you need to know from my experience:Are they a Canadian company? No. They use "Toronto" in the name, but they operate out of China.Are the lights safe for Canadian homes? No. They are not certified with the required cUL, cETL, or CSA marks. This means they are illegal to install and a potential fire risk.What if I need to return something? You'll be told to ship it back to China, and you will have to pay for the expensive international shipping yourself.Is customer service helpful? In my case, they were not. They ignored the safety issue and made a lowball offer, then stopped replying. I had to file a chargeback with my credit card to get a refund.I learned the hard way. I hope this helps you make a safer choice. Always check for proper Canadian safety certifications when buying any electrical product.

DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE BUY FROM MISTERLAMP TORONTO. Before I ordered the light, I contacted them to confirm that the light came with plug in hardware, as listed in the description and shown in their photo. They confirmed it does. Shipping was supposed to take 6-8 days, it took over a month. When it finally arrived, I had to pay extra duties and taxes, even though their website says if you're in Canada you won't have to. Not only that, they claimed it was still in a warehouse awaiting to be shipped to me, when in fact it was at a post office awaiting me to go pick it up and pay the extra costs, meanwhile they had no idea where the package was, I found this out on my own. Low and behold, when I opened the box there was no plug in hardware. I contacted them immediately and this started off the month long (and counting!) battle to have them reimburse me for sending me the WRONG product. Every message I get has contradictory information, but finally after they 3+ weeks they confirmed the mistake was theirs and they did not expect me to have to pay for their error. Yet still, after a month of almost daily messages back and forth they still refused to pay the return shipping fees. They keep coming back with "options" like a replacement (for the same light that again does not come with the plug in hardware), or another light when I have repeatedly stated the only acceptable solution is a full refund. One day they said they'd reimburse me for the additional taxes and duties, then next they say they won't. I don't even know if I'm conversing with an actual person, I suspect it's an AI canned response as it's clear they are not reading the email chain when they reply. They will send these "apologetic" emails but won't follow through with their own policies. I ordered the light in April, it is now July, and the issue is still not resolved. This has been BY FAR THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE experience I have ever experienced in my life. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM. FYI - my order number is 2108, and I guarantee you, you'll see the same canned response from them saying "sorry, we can't find your order...blah blah blah", despite over 40 emails back and forth. They are complete scammers, with no intention of reimbursing you, no matter how defective their product is. DO NOT TRUST THEM.

Suspected Scam

I placed an order with Misterlamp on May 24, and to date, the item has not been shipped. Despite multiple follow-ups by email and phone, I’ve received nothing but vague promises that they would “get back to me in 2–3 business days” — yet no updates or tracking information have ever been provided.Their last response was on June 20, saying they would investigate and follow up, but I’ve heard nothing since. They are unreachable by phone, and the lack of action over a month later is completely unacceptable.At this point, I suspect this may be a fraudulent operation. I have filed a complaint and am initiating a chargeback. Avoid this website — they take your money and provide no service.

Not certified for use / sale in Canada. Electrician refused to install it as wires way too thin. Then to get the money back they force you to send goods to China! Which they never disclosed before!! STAY AWAY! GARBAGE!
