I am sharing my experience to help protect future customers. I placed two orders with ML Performance (Order #MLP160863 on 11/08/2025 and Order #MLP161085 on 13/08/2025). Both orders were cancelled by the company in January 2026, yet the refunds totalling £4,772.75 have still not been returned to me.
Despite repeated attempts to resolve the matter, ML Performance refused to issue the refund unless I agreed to conditions that have no basis in UK consumer law. I was also given multiple excuses, including claims that their “system was down,” which did not change their legal obligation to refund me.
Because the refund was not issued, I have reported the matter to Trading Standards, the police, and Action Fraud. The police have logged the case under reference numbers RF26020130704C and RF26020130463C. I am now taking legal action to recover the full amount owed, including statutory interest, financial losses caused by the delay, and damages for distress and inconvenience.
Since speaking out, I have discovered that many other customers report similar issues, including non‑delivery, withheld refunds, and poor communication. New people continue to come forward daily.

Ordered Powerflex parts that were 'available'. Weeks went by with MLP telling me they were not in stock and were changing suppliers. Odd considering they should be getting the parts directly from Powerflex. After 2 months, I requested a refund as I realised they are scammers. The refund request was acknowledged, saying it would be processed in 14 days. However, as expected, 14 days rolled over with no communication or refund. Then, when I logged into my account on their website under my order, it had changed from Not Shipped to Confirmed (but with no shipping information), sneaky, currently with VISA as a dispute.
Like all orders going on with this shop, I have been scammed, the seller at first stalls with the order , then sends mail claiming that parts are not in stock while on his website shows in stock, they send you a message claiming that parts needs 4 weeks to be ordered for very common parts, once you cancel the order and asks for refund they will tell you you need to wait 14 days which a bullshit ,they will stall because shopify don't accept complaints after 14 days. In their shopify they say refund are under 4 days but they ask to wait for more than 14 days .
Received initial email after placing order detailing transaction then nothing, no update no delivery, almost a month now, using this site was a big mistake, the issue is compounded by the useless “shop” app that only serves to interfere with any inquiry and try’s to sell you other products.
Untrustworthy company. I bought something that appeared to be in stock, then they told me it's out of stock once they had my money. I was strung along for months with false promises of 'will be back in stock in a few weeks.' After several months I gave up and asked for a refund. They responded politely like that would be no problem, but the refund never came either. After several weeks of promises that the refund is 'processing' I filed a dispute of the charge with my card company.
I never got the products I paid for and a refund was never issued. Avoid this company.
My experience has been incredibly frustrating. The response time to emails exceeds a week, and my product was never shipped. Each time, I received the same excuse about shipping delays. When I finally requested a refund, I was told that the return processing system was down. This has dragged on for months, and I still have not received my refund.
A peculiar experience with this service. It seems they don't actually stock items but operate more like a drop shipping firm. After ordering a radiator fan for my vehicle, a month went by without any update on the part. I reached out to inquire and received a response two days later explaining their "system." Essentially, they don't have this part in stock; it's merely "available to order." Quite strange. With an estimated arrival of another 3-4 weeks, I opted to cancel my order. I then received the usual message stating that a refund, per current regulations, would take 12-14 days. As that timeframe approached, my hope faded after seeing negative reviews online. It appears refunds rarely happen. After sending a few assertive emails warning of potential legal action, I finally received my refund promptly. It can be done, but you have to be persistent. I would advise against using this service and recommend looking elsewhere.
