Don't give them your money!
Wanted to buy some sheet music. When I got to checkout, I noticed the amount was $0.00 instead of the$1.15 the music should have cost.
When I read the fine print, it turns out I was actually signing up for a subscription with $0 for the first week but then $50 for three months automatically taken out of your account!
They definitely have you, when you buy an app through one of the stores they say to go to that store and now Apple has increased their refund restrictions and won’t refund it even though they’re at fault because the app wasn’t clear that I was purchasing the annual subscription and not the annual learn subscription. I’ll be finally a formal complaint with the FCC as well, but this is BS that they wouldn’t refund me and just tell me to go to Apple
Disgusting bunch of scammers. Clicked to "download this sheet music". For A$1.70. A bright purple click button... Next thing Ive got 5 emails congratulating me on my annual subscription and theyre refusing to refund!
Absolutely furious
I have used MuseScore for two years. I’m an a keyboard player in a band and it has been pretty good. They do have a lot of scores that are available on other sites that they don’t have, which was fine. Now, the past month or so (I assume there was an update) when you bring up a piece of music, you can’t turn the page. You have to exit out of the app and get back in just to turn the page. I have tried uninstalling the app and reinstalling, that didn’t work. Then I thought that I needed to do the update on my iPad to get it to work……that didn’t work. When you’re playing out in public and need to go from song to song, it’s impossible. You have to exit the app between songs and then pull it up again. I thought for sure that I would come on here and see others having the same issue, but every issue is about the subscription. Please fix this so that it doesn’t get stuck not being able to turn the page.
best music app so far, a lot of choice and you don't even have to buy the subscription, you can choose the music you want, screenshot all the sheets and listen to the full music without any subscription, the only issue is if you want the real version. But often others are better
DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY WITH YOUR PAYMENT DETAILS. THEY WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY.
I am writing this to warn everyone. Musescore charged my card for a subscription WITHOUT MY PERMISSION or AUTHORIZATION. I did not consent to this purchase. I did not confirm anything. The money was simply taken from my account.
This is not a "billing error." This is FRAUD. Their system appears designed to trap users into unwanted charges, and their customer service is useless when you try to resolve it.
If you value your financial security, STAY AWAY. This is a predatory practice. They are counting on you not to notice small charges or to give up fighting for a refund.
My demand is simple: REFUND MY MONEY IMMEDIATELY.
Until this is resolved, I will spread the word about their scam on every platform available.
SCAM. THEFT. FRAUD. Choose a different service.
I would give it 0 stars if I could. I bought a couple of single scores from MuseScore. They then had my credit card and charged me $50 that they were going to renew every 3 months! I thought, "Fine, I'll stop the auto renew and just use it for three months." I can't even download any music. It tries to charge me for every score I try to download! What the crap is the $50 for? What a scam! Run away!
Exercise caution with this service. I purchased a music score for a low price, which was fine. However, without my consent, they used my card information to charge me for a subscription. The automated reply from their support team provided misleading information on how to cancel the subscription. There is no option to cancel a subscription on their site. While this may not be outright fraudulent, they are certainly dishonest and willing to take subscription fees from customers who initially buy the low-cost product.
I woke up to fraud alerts from my bank. It turns out that there were unauthorized charges on my credit and two debit cards through a payment platform for a $49.99 subscription (totaling $149.97) for an annual subscription I never agreed to. I am usually very careful about my subscriptions, and I had no knowledge of this, which is concerning. I have filed fraud claims with the appropriate authorities and initiated chargebacks with my bank. It's puzzling how this occurred on a Saturday morning before a holiday, when banks would be closed.
My daughter reached out to me in distress after purchasing a 99p sheet of music for school, only to find that £44 was deducted from her account days later for a trial she didn't realize she had signed up for. There’s no phone contact available and no guidance on how to resolve this issue.
