Review Time
I attended several events and made a few matches, but never had a match respond back when I tried to make contact. I still found it to be a great learning experience, as this was my first time entering the dating pool in almost a decade (divorce after 8 years). It was an environment where everyone was there for more or less the same reason, and I never felt overwhelmed or pressured. I did end up finding someone through another avenue, and I am now engaged. I will always be thankful for the experience " My Cheeky Date" gave me to get myself back out there.
DO NOT BUY tickets to these events. they are a scam and will not refund your money. They plan events, sell tickets through eventbrite and then "postpone" due to request for different dates or lack of interest. Bought tickets for a nov event, canceled, got pushed to dec, canceled, then got pushed to Jan and you guessed it canceled. They refuse to reund and so does eventbrite! SCAMMERS
I bought a ticket at the beginning of December and I’ve been rescheduledfour times, and each time they send an apology email the day of and ask me to pick a new date. I’ve been single for a couple of years, my nerves are shot getting my hopes up and dashed repeatedly. They refuse to refund me my money. Don’t waste your money and feelings on this junk!
They abruptly cancel the event without option to refund. A customer service rep CALLS me at 6pm on a FRIDAY to try to intimidate me from not leaving reviews. Edit: see below on how unhinged their customer service reps are. The event was apparently cancelled because people dropped out and it's clear why. Avoid.
I like this company. The venues are a good mix of a relaxed atmosphere with more class than a club or bar scene. The number of people and time commitment is digestible and I like that the men rotate around the women. I’ve never had any issues communicating with them via email. Highly recommend, super fun!
Event was cancelled twice. When I requested a refund, the organizer refused to process it and repeatedly redirected me elsewhere instead of resolving the issue. I was spoken to in a dismissive, patronizing way and never received a refund. Poor customer service and an unnecessarily frustrating experience.
This is basically a scam. Booked 2 events with them, never been able to attend one because they keep canceling. For 3 times in a row a re booked and received an email few hours before the event saying that it was cancelled. Booked the first event in September, in December I still couldn't attend because they keep canceling on me. Last time was almost funny: sent an email to them to confirm that I was included in the event, they confirmed, got back to me 2h later saying that they were cancelling. And of course no refund. This is a scam.
It was an outstanding experience I have ever had during my first time in Speeddating events. For next time, I just need to know or familiarise how I can contact the lady whom I matched with. Because I did not know the precise procedure right after attending the event. If I will attend the event for second time, I just need further instructions how to connect and contact my ideal matches.
