This was the first company that offered a science based contraceptive option by taking your temperature each morning and it’s worked for me for almost 9 years now. I’ve learned so much about my body, which you’re not taught at school or during any other time in your life, really. It’s been everything I was hoping for and more. What a joy it is to have a trustworthy, natural, synthetic hormone-free option available to us. They’ve shone a light on women’s health, when historically no one has really cared about researching or offering solutions for women. I could not recommend NC more highly - the app is easy to use, temperature is super easy to take in the mornings and you can see your data over the years which is very helpful to understand your cycle in more depth and it could even help us plan a pregnancy one day. We’ll certainly be using their ‘plan a pregnancy’ function when we’re ready. If I could give it more than 5 stars I would, it’s been life changing and I wouldn’t use anything else.
I love natural cycles. It gives a clear view of when I’m fertile and when I’m not without the use of any hormones or invasive procedures! The accuracy is insane and every single month I’m impressed when my period arrives at the exact time as predicted! I can’t see myself ever going back to any other form of birth control since being with Matural cycles. 100% would recommend
I never write reviews, but I wanted to potentially help someone who might be in a similar position as I was, and is thinking about trying Natural Cycles. After being on various types of contraception for the last 15 years, including the pill, the injection, the copper coil- all of which ruined my mental health, made me weak, tired, seriously depressed and even had suicidal thoughts at times. My periods were painful and unbearable on the coil and I had heard of natural cycles through a friend. I had my coil taken out 2 months ago and have been on natural cycles since. So far, so good for me! I have seen and felt such a vast difference- I have more energy, I am sleeping better, my mind is quieter, I am happier, I haven’t had mood swings and my body just feels… better, healthier and I feel more in control. I wish I had done this sooner! I have learned so much about my body, cycle and fertility through Natural Cycles. It’s also super easy. If you’re on the fence, give it a go! It might seem expensive at first, but you can’t put a price on your health. It is so worth it.
outrageous price increase to £89.99 which they take automatically out of your account with no warning. it wasn't even listed as one of my apple subscriptions which i check regularly to make sure this kind of thing doesn't happen. i don't remember exactly what i paid for year 1 but it definitely wasn't that much and there was no warning of price increase. full robbery - how can you justify that price for use of an app NC???
At first it can be overwhelming to start tracking and familiarising yourself with your cycle & hormones but the app is super supportive throughout with lots of learning and tips, and after a few months of getting synced, I was hooked, love the app and I am so grateful to have had this app during first preventing pregnancy and then supporting, I am now 3 months pregnant and still using the app every day!
I’ve been using Natural cycles as contraception for 4 years now and it’s been GREAT! Once you understand exactly how it works and how your cycle works it really is the best type of contraception. I was worried as I’ve got ADHD that I might forget, but I leave my thermometer on top of my phone (the first thing I go to in the morning) as a reminder. As I’ve learnt my norms during my cycles it becomes easier to interpret the red days and green days, it truly is worth the money! No more injections, pills and nasty side effects 🙌🏻
The price of subscription has been more than doubled with only a non-descript email (which due to the address was filtered to other rather than focused). Hence I only realised when checking my bank statement. I feel this could have been much better managed - perhaps with a notification when you log in to the app in the run-up to, and following the subscription date? Or with an opt out following the increase? For infrequent users this is not a supportable increase and there are not options to receive refunds for the remaining months unused even if I request a cancellation. Whilst the app can provide value there should be more user consultation prior to such substantial changes and user choice on whether they wish to opt in to additional, more expensive, services in the app. Unfortunately there are other options out there now so the price is no longer justifiable for me.
