Had an on going mice issue i couldn't sort after trying almost everything, landlords called them out and we found not only the place they keep coming in but their experince and knowledge with better traps and tools was a huge help and hopefully no more will come around, lovely people too
* Home Emergency Claim raised with Admiral Monday 11th November due to rodent infestation in loft - claim passed to Sedgwick as this was sub-contracted to them.* Sedgwick referred us to NBC Environment Ltd - Rodent Inspection Firm Weds 13th November.* First visit Friday 15th November (engineer turned up with no prior notice in spite of being advised by NBC that we would get a call ahead of arrival) - no evidence found (other than our reports of noise), no action taken - engineer told us to keep listening and revert to company if persists.* Notified by Sedgwick of claim closure by text Monday 25th November.* Called Admiral / Sedgwick to query and ensure claim not closed and that engineer follow up visit was confirmed.* Did not hear back from anyone despite being assured that we would hear back.* Engineer’s 2nd visit Friday 29th November - no contact to let us know he was coming (having previously asked for an afternoon appointment if possible when calling Admiral / Sedgwick earlier in the week following text notification of claim closure). It was only by good fortune that someone was home (I was at an appointment & my wife was due to go out).* All the bait (3 blocks x 6 bait trays) was eaten by rodents within days.* Awaiting engineer’s return visit - confirmed verbally by Sedgwick but no indication of when to expect arrival.* I moved trays to where bait had been taken in extension loft - taken from rear right and close to hatch.* I moved trays in boarded loft to behind foil insulation above our bedroom as this is where we could hear them moving.* Both trays eaten and traces of droppings left as evidence - mice?* As engineer wasn’t coming back for 2 weeks (we called to request earlier follow up based on increased noise in a number of areas above us) - request declined.* Friday 6th December, I purchased 2 tubs (30 x 10g bait blocks) of rodent poison and placed them in the empty trays from which the previous bait had been taken - this was all taken same night (we could hear bait being dragged around the loft floors) - above the office, kitchen, hallway & both bedrooms.* Bought more poison (30 x 20g blocks) - put this down on Sunday 8th December but only 5 blocks taken so far.* Last night (12th Dec) was first night that we haven’t heard any movement.* Noticed faint smells (dead rodents?) yesterday when inspecting - will see how it is today when Inspection happens.* Engineer did not arrive after waiting in ALL DAY today. Called NBC at 16:45 to be advised that engineer had "broken down" and wasn't going to make it today. No-one thought to let us know after waiting over 8 hours for him to arrive. We called Sedgwick today at 13:15 to check the engineer was definitely coming and were told yes.* This just gets worse!
We had a problem with rodents in the loft. They had chewed through wires and could be heard in the cavity wall. Mick came from NDC and over the course of a few visits eliminated the problem. Mick kept us fully informed and involved and was really professional and diligent. Thank you Mick. You're a star!
After 2.5 years of pest problems in my home and being sent a couple of staff, NBC sent Daniel, he attended numerous times and tried numerous different treatments and inspections. nbc then sent me Mikel who just aswell went over and beyond by adjusting his schedule to meet with contractors at the property to get the job done. Both Daniel and Mikel went over and beyond their remits to ensure effective treatment, the most amazing work attitude and ethic, empathy, sympathy, and outstanding skills and plan making to successfully eradicate the problem. The fact that two employees can really change the narrative of an organisation that has failed in my problem numerous times is outstanding. They should be greatly rewarded to the best of NBCs ability for their hard work, organisation skills, great communication and thorough investigative and treatment plans. Without them this would be a complaint rather than gratitude.
